GOLDEN stairway to heaven !!!! 

Geology for gold diggers 104(a) - Hunting hydrological placer and alluvial gold Tectonic placer and alluvial gold will erode (most-only) by hydrological forces. Freshwater sources as (cold water) artesians springs, springs, and watershed headwater creeks and streams will erode out small and large gold-bearing rock, and slowly or quickly move it downstream ... depending on the slope and water volume velocity surging forth. Freshwater sources will not dissolve (i.e. hot springs) heavy metals, iron black sands, and silicate quartz and quartzites, chalcedony, agate, etc into downstream particles and sands. Only the force of erosion will break off softer bedrock and hardrock around mother lodes, veins, and dikes, causing the breaking off of small (dust, flour, placer) to medium (pickers) to large (nuggets and masses) to flow downstream until captured behind a sand bank, bedrock crack, crevices, or joints. Using headwater knowledge, one locates such freshwater movement in the uplands where tectonic placer and alluvial gold will appear. Search for the bedrock and hardrock under the start of these headwaters for the highest source of deposit in the area. Work downstream, not upstream for tectonic placer and alluvial gold. As the landscape of mountain, mountain range, bedrock and hardrock changes into forest or highland meadows with organic topsoil, continue working down to the bedrock (and any sedimentary clay levels for embedded gold. The further you work down a freshwater source and find nothing, until you reach the flatlands or lowland meadows, forests, estuaries, delta land, that entire area becomes a not-here area. The faster you work the bedrock zone. Whereas gardening you want high layers or organic matter, in prospecting you want the bottom bedrock layers. As such soil layers are - O horizon - topsoil litter/duff; A horizon - topsoil (zone of aeration); E horizon - zone of leaching; B horizon - subsoil (zone of saturation, water level up to E horizon); C horizon - parent material (broken bedrock and hardrock, boulders, rocks, stones, cobbles, pebbles; and bedrock strata. Prospecting wants to work the C horizon and bedrock. Glacial and greenstone placer gold could be anywhere from the C horizon up to E horizon (water level). Working a freshwater spring, creek, or stream downstream from bedrock to C horizon cobbles, provides placer and alluvial gold. Further down, and deep digging of very ancient A-E-B organic strata comes from ancient gold buried under ancient ages of organic and windblown loess, glacial till. As such, the depth of discovery of gold provides the starting elevation in which gold is being eroded out of the bedrock and parent material. That elevation is most- important - as that topographic elevation can then be surveyed around such tectonic mountain, and one could find the same elevation (of higher or lower) other gold outcroppings. The elevation, geological valley feature, inclined slope, and water volume and velocity will assist in locating further gold in that area. Looking in these areas for the first black sands, red garnets, silicate crystals, ... and the suspected gossan material will provide the start of deposited heavy metal sand and gold there and downstream.

Geology for gold diggers 104(b) - Superior/Abitibi greenbelt of Canada and the US Major portions of the ancient Superior Archaean craton have massive green belt structures overlying the Lake Superior region of the Ontario province and that of the American Minnesota and Wisconsin states. The ancient Canadian Ice Sheet coming down across Lake Superior and Lake Michigan shorelines, lowlands, and confronting and rubbing up against and over-topping the north-central mountain range of eleven counties - with their own greenbelt regions - leaving glacial and tectonic placer gold deposits on both north and south sides of this region. The Canadian Ice Sheet scraped and eroded these belts ... depositing massive iron, copper, gold, and other heavy metals onto the shorelines and lowland regions of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan Upper Peninsula counties. The Canadian Ice Sheet (for Wisconsin) had its western Superior Lobe, Chippewa Lobe, Wisconsin Valley Lobe, Langlade Lobe, and the eastern Lake Michigan portions of the Green Bay Lobe, and the Lake Michigan Lobe. The Superior Lobe covered Douglas, Bayfield, Burnett, Washburn, western portions of Sawyer, Polk, and portions of Bannon and St Croix counties. The Chippewa Lobe covered Ashland, Iron, eastern portion of Sawyer, Price, Rusk, Chippewa, Tailor, and the northwest portion of Clark counties. The Wisconsin Valley Lobe covered Iron, Vilas, Price, Oneida, Taylor, and Lincoln counties. The Langlade Lobe covered Vilas, eastern Oneida, Forest, and Lincoln counties. The Green Bay and Lake Michigan Lobes are outside of this presentation covering the Michigan Upper Peninsula and the shoreline and interior north-east, east, and south-east counties. The greenbelt of northern Wisconsin appears as a diagonal pointing downward and left-facing trident, coming out of the Michigan Upper Peninsula and down toward and across Minneapolis-St Paul, fanning out into the 3-pronged trident veins. So there are the Canadian Superior craton greenbelts scraped and pushing placer gold into Wisconsin (along with massive other heavy metals), but also that portion of the Michigan Upper Peninsula pushing down into the Wisconsin north-east counties. All of the Lake Superior shorelines, lowlands, and those of the north-central mountain ranges have massive inherent greenbelts spread across them. Here is where the glaciers confronted the mountains, scraping them, over-topping, and with retreating glacial lobes, both the northern lowland and northern mountain side counties, north-central mountain tops, and the immediate southern mountain sides, were left with dropped Canadian and American greenbelt placer gold. The Canadian eastern portion of the Superior craton would hold the Abitibi greenbelts that would cross over into the Michigan and north-eastern Wisconsin counties. Any tectonic placer and alluvial gold would be inherent in those north-central mountain range counties. having granite and basalt terranes. So when looking for glacial and greenbelt placer gold, it covers a massive swath of the whole northern and north-central counties of Wisconsin. Any movement of this placer, flour gold, and glacial dust, would be from hydrological movements down snowpacks, cold water springs, creeks, streams, and rivers. Other natural seasonal sun, heat, cold, snow, ice, rain, wind, and weathering would also precipitate out glacial and green belt placer gold, but also tectonic and greenstone placer and alluvial gold.

Awww.. Rigby’s little buddy Apprentice Rex.. AR! 😂 what a cutie little buddy. I had a scare last Thursday 😳 Playing frisbee with Josie Wales she stumbled as she was going all out. Crashed hard and began crying. I ran up to her freaking out and examined her. She was crying and after a couple minutes of checking her out. She got up and her right rear leg was dragging and not working 😬 I thought she broke her leg but after checking her again for a few minutes again she began to put a little weight on it. After a few more minutes she was walking very tenderly on it while slightly arching her back. I believe she stumbled on uneven ground and sprained her leg and probably pinched a nerve. I have a Vet exam and check up appointment for Tuesday. Dang brother, I almost snapped after having my brothers wife pass on May 12 and my brother John pass 6 days later on May 18. Hello! Just a quick question for anyone that would like to chime in. I used my digital microscope to photograph some of my Wisconsin gold and there is some very small silver colored nuggets mixed in. Would that be silver? Or white gold possibly? I wish i could post the picture on here. Its very neat being able to see this small gold up close to see the actual shapes and features of it!

I’d like to see what it looks like. And lo and behold you did go to the beach. If I wasn’t 13 hours away, I would be there every freaking weekend. Thanks for taking us all out on your adventure because some of us can’t get up there but maybe once every year or two. The last time I was up there I think I could’ve thrown a beach, towel down and just taken a long snooze on that beach, but I would wake up feeling like a piece of bacon, that sun sure does get hot up there.

Went to Mexico in 1968 and drove thru a butterfly swarm! It was amazing and scary at 7 years old ! I remember the front and butterfly side were covered with dead butterflies as they flew accross the road and we drove thru them and the back and off side were clean !

Those waders are good for one thing in the Wisconsin blazing summer. Walk out into the cold Superior and fill them to the brim - keeping all the PBRs (private boy's regions) cool and well-tended. When you get hot again - walk back out into deep water, dump the warm water - and refill with cold water - and maybe a perch or bass will get sucked into the waders - but gotta watch out for those toothy and onery pike and muskies - they bite !

You got some gold, had a beef stick and a PBR and all Rigby got was a head pat😂.

I really like the screen that you have and that you're using I feel like it not only screens out the bigger rocks but also disperses the material out at an acceptable rate for the machine and I hear you on the no yards to mow my yards have been growing so darn fast I've had to mow both of them twice a week. Went through a ccl tear with my dog . I found a really good surgeon in rice lake who charges 3200.00 even if the meniscus also torn. The entire process was terrible until i found him. 7500.00 was what the other place in wausau charged.

Love your videos buddy. It would be nice to see one day if you could hit the mother load and bring out good size nuggets instead of the flat tiny pieces. Like finding some as big as your fingernails and be able to use 2 fingers to pick them up out of your pan. I mean, you have tons of small gold up there everywhere and there should be some nuggets hiding there somewhere you would think just waiting for Rigby boy to say to you, hey buddy come dig here for a while. Take care of each other and stay safe my friend. One last thing, that quick sand hole. What if you could put a hose into the hole and suck up the sand from the sides an the bottom if there is a bottom. But seeing quick sand many years before about 40 plus years ago it was cool at first but I learned fast not to play with it. Have a good long rope with you and a buddy just Incase that small quick sand hole should get alot bigger rather fast and I'm talking in just a few seconds to grow a hole 5 or 6 feet in diameter and you get trapped in it. Not a nice way to spend your weekend. I'm surprised they don't have any signs up warning people to not step in it.
