Monk is definitely on fire, but I think Fox is the key for this win. He is more like a superstar than Curry in this close game and performed more consistently in terms of scoring.
As a European , I never understood why NBA teams, that are ahead 3 points last seconds of the game, do not foul before the shot to send the opponent to the line. If he makes both you are still one point ahead with the ball and very little time left. The worst case scenario if you foul , is that the opponent makes the first free throw and go for the offensive rebound and make a desperate shot. Now Curry had a very good look and nearly sent the game to overtime.
Curry is OVER 90% from free throw line. Do you really think it is better to send him to ft line than to have him shoot a shoot that has around 40% of going in? It is basic math
Normally, I think a player would realise that he will get fouled so he will shoot the ball immediately in order to get 3 free throws and will have a way bigger chance to tie the game
Its mainly to do with the fear of possibly fouling the guy while he's attempting a 3. Some players catch and shoot the ball straight away, other times they take a dribble or 2 and shoot. You have to time the foul perfectly, if you're too late you can end up putting them on the line for 3, and say even if you're on time the refs could possibly get it wrong and still say they were in the shooting motion for a 3. Its just too risky unless you can foul the player when they are not facing the basket which is rare in situations like that.
@@nulanguage exactly, wait till series is over. Kings fans bragging like winning the series after 1 win. They get too excited with first playoffs since bibby era
Great match great win for the kings congrats an respect Fox going crazy wit back to back deadly fall away jumpshots Chef Curry shots unic so quick releasing da ball it’s ridiculous hitting 3’s that way … Game 2 Dubs Lets go
As GREAT as De'Aaron Fox was in this game...AND HE WAS GREAT. The key to me was the relentless OFFENSIVE pressure of MALIK MONK. With the Warriors making it real tough on Sabonis the Kings NEEDED other offense and MONK was that difference. He was key down the stretch as well as Fox. THIS IS GOING TO BE A HELLUVA SERIES...I'M HERE FOR IT. Carry On...
Great game ! Ws need more Wiggins, Payton, Kuminga inside - way more benefit inside than jacking cold turnovers. Wigs 4 blks!! Need Wiggins and Payton heavier on Bds, if Curry and Thompson are under 45% from 3. Curry inside tonight was way more efficient..need more screens ? Huerter and Murray 3s tonight wasted possessions - Sabonis 16 rbds and 17 team OR kept them in.
Good to see “the kings” back on top🔥. But stay focus 💯. There, you face “the Warriors” 🙏. And DON'T forget about the proverb saying that ( *NEVER underestimate the heart of a ch@mp* ) ✍️ .
Dang! I was expecting the Dubs to 4 or 5 this series. Now Im not sure if they'll even make it to the next round. The Kings are really an eyelash in the eyes.
Monk iust a beast, finally have time to prove himself 🎉,he is a very good player similar like jr smith ❤,at laker team that time is showing some stuff already I like him always face the opponent 💪 not afraid keep it up monk 😠!
Man, I hope you step up your game for the rest of the playoffs. This highlight reel was choppy af, and the end of the game was rushed and didn't convey the epic in the court at all.
Reminds me of the '91 finals. I was too young to watch it live, but saw a great documentary about it.... Lakers v. Bulls, game 1, MJ took the final shot and missed. Barely. Bulls lost... and went on to win 4-1.
This is very easy for the gsw to figure out, monk and fox can be stopped, sabonis can get his but it would not be enough. Kings did what they were suppose to do at home, warriors are not losing game 2 and 3, they will get one away
