This song is so uplifting! I loved Golden Sun much more than any other game on Gameboy Advance. I was 10 when I played the first game. I was 12 when I played the second game. I played the thrid one at the age of 16 on DS. But I really prefered the GBA ones. I'm 22 now, but I still play the GBA ones every so often on my computer.
Uplifting? The song represents a culture, a tribe, an entire history that’s experiencing a slow death by decay. The song similarly drags itself out in order to represent how this decay is happening, this song is supposed to be the opposite of uplifting, it’s outright depressing.
@@LucasCarter2 I wouldn't call it uplifting either. Not necessarily depressing either. Ethereal. After all, it represent a very mysterious and ascetic place which of course is also slowly decading, it's stagnant
Oh god... the original music is one of my favourite music of golden Sun, but this one... gah... it's SO great! I never thought it could be better, wow...
Golden Sun is still a first choice of game for me when I want to play a RPG. The GBA Golden Sun games are very rich, and sometimes I wonder at how much richness they could put in such an ancient cartridge. When the 1st game came out in 2001, I really wanted to play it when I saw the preview on Nairobi news TV. So I bought an African-fashioned Gameboy Advance and the American verison of the game. Golden Sun forever!
This is absolutely magnificent. So serene, so meditative...it's like a river in which all my memories of the game come swiftly but steadily flowing back. It's like my childhood is speaking to me across time. What an inspiring piece, thank you for this.
I... I have no words man I feel a strange upheaval in my chest during the intro thank you from the bottom of my heart for recreating the soundtrack to one of my keystone games as a kid. This game stirred up something amazing. Something I can't describe. You've managed to re-awaken that part of me again.

I've been replaying the series over the past month and it's an extremely emotional experience. I miss hiding under my blankets at 11 P.M. on a school night, with my GBA volume just loud enough for me to hear, trying to finish one last puzzle, beat one last boss, just a few more minutes in Lemuria. . .
I remember the week that this video was uploaded and falling in love with this track, nearly 10 years ago in three days today. I still swing by every few months to listen to this gem. Hope you're doing well Stang. Cheers and God Bless.
I'm doing great! I've reached heights I never really thought possible for me. I do miss making music though. One day I'd like to revisit all the Golden Sun tracks.
This is absolutely fantastic. While I like the original, your remastered version is a bunch of times better - much more emotional, especially in the first 2 minutes.
Omg. This is the first time I hear this version and I must say, I prefer this one over the original but both are awesome. Takes me back to when I was a kid. With no real worries...god I miss those times.

This is such a great version of one of the best songs in video games. Good fucking job. You couldn't have done this city and its song more justice if you tried.
The first time I played this game, I noted that this island was very similar to the island of Tol Eresea as described in the final chapter of The Book of Lost Tales. With both islands, the inhabitants' longevity has caused their cultures to stagnate and grow dull. I always found that interesting and why I think immortality is more of a curse then a blessing.

Imagine Lemuria sinks to the bottom of the ocean, and using special psyenergy, you sail with your boat in a bubble, exploring the ocean floor to this tune looking for the lost city

Remembering when i first started my Amazon warehouse job. And met these 2 cute girls. Thought that one day one of them would be mine. One was a lesbian, and the other wasn’t ready for a relationship. The lesbian got fired, although i liked her more. The other girl, me and her argued just once. And that was the end, i blocked and deleted her. It was something stupid. But she told me,”Don’t talk to her until i grow up”. I told her I’m sorry i may have said some things, but she didn’t reply back. I got tired of her immature attitude. So i finally decided it was time to end things. It doesn’t make any sense though, we got along so well.

It's my opinion as well, buddy! Golden Sun is the rpgs of my teenage. I will never forget these. games. I have trained my adepts all the time in The Lost Age, but I have never able to go further than level 72 for each one, because I gave up. lol

This was most likely made with the synthesizer-plugin Nexus, made by reFX. Every single sound being used here sounds just like the presets from the expansion pack "dance orchestra" for the Nexus. So this may sound like a real orchestra playing, but it's not. The hard part isn't picking out the "instruments", it's recreating the chords and melodies note by note, however, you could dodge that by importing a midi file with the notes into your DAW. Not going to lie, with a bit of knowledge about a basic DAW, say FL Studio and the right plugin, you could probably recreate this piece in about 1 - 2 hours.

I was kind of appointed with Lumoria, there was barely anything there to do XD I know its the point to some extent but it all seemed boring, wished there was more to do there then just talk and get a Djinn. Maybe they should have made a small plot line with Poseidon instead of makeing him another mindless boss in your way.
I think it was perfectly designed. The city was decaying, and everyone there as well, and they just wanderered around growing old. The music amplified the sadness a lot. I loved the time I got to Lemuria!
I am not questioning its design, I am lamenting how short your time there is and the lack of side quests or plot interpretation with the place. It would have been awesome if Poseidon was given a more active role and more like that.
Jose Ssegovia I always wanted to explore the ruins that were underneath the water that you got hints of. I actually seriously had a love of Lemuria. It left me with a longing for more of it, but it's honestly one of my favorite places in the game, even though there isn't anything to do there.
