GARDEN TIPS maybe u haven't heard but placing rocks and pieces of pot actually raises the water level and keep your roots sitting in water...check it out!
Thanks for the info. We don’t lay the broken pot piece flat to block the hole. It’s laid down curved toward the hole. These are only options - I use a piece of mesh at the bottoms.
@@GardenTips Sir, My Black nursery Growbag have another small Polythene in it over the roots maybe used while sowing up the cutting first. Now while i repot it should i remove the inner polythene also as i will have to remove a lot of soil to reach the inner small Polythene. Would it be safe, as if i don't it my block the roots growth ??
@Garden tips how frequently we have to water the plants after repotting , I have repotted directly from the clean roots, there was no soil in the roots and I have placed in a new pot, but nt sure how frequently I should water?, the very first day I need to water thoroughly then?
You can use finger dip method and water of soil is dry. Depending on climate and depending on type of plant you need to adjust the frequency - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-WrhLxEl0cd4.html
Very informitive, and glad to know I am actually doing it right. To hot to be replanting right now in Texas during the day. Our temps have been up to about 107 to 109 these past few weeks. So I just do everything in the evening. Better for me and the plants that way lol. I just got some plants from my local big box store on clearance and they are needing some ferilizing help so off to watch your epsome salt video
sir good video, At 4:45 you are manually relaesing the.soil. whether.this.method.can harm the roots especially.tiny roots. which are the main water and nutrientd supplier as in my case i was also about trying the same procedure but my roots were crowdly mixed with the soil so i have changed my mind and dipped and placed the soil lump in a plastic 20 litre plastic bucket for atleast 30 minutes so that it can easy to remove the meshed roots. however even after 30 minutes the soil.was completely not separted from.the roots mesh so.i have remove the mud slowly slowly and it takes 2 hours to.compelete the final task. finally my plants was without soil and roots were only visible. however, few roots were get destroyed in this processs as 100% success or achivement is bit.difficult. so my question is can we dipp the soil lump in the water bucket instead of manual extraction of soil as the later one is bit risky for.the.plants and also a harder task. sir plz. guide
Yes, if the soil is too clayey and compact you can dip in a bucket of water and dissolve the soil. Hand method is if the soil is loose and if it’s easy to rip it with hand method.
After you dip the plant in water spray the soil off with a watering hose. My spider plant was very root bound and I couldn't extract any soil! I had to use water power lol
My garden is full of snails which look like Malaysian trumpet snails . I'm tired of taking 100's of them from single pot everyday . Tried different methods of using neem spray , turmeric water etc., but no use. Any suggestions ?

Hi So all the vine nursery plants i got last few days online are in clay soil. Followed the usual put in shade few days then some sun . Month is june end now. So doni need to repot them(all except one in small pots). 1) if i should repot clay soil plants is end june in the north ok? 2) do i remove all clay soil? Plants are alamanda, snail vine, manadavilla pink, rose vine and bougainvilla Pls advise
Hi. One option is to remove the clay soil and repot, and other option is to repot as it is in a well draining soil with more compost which eventually changes the soil to well draining.
Mein nursery se 2 plants laya tha usmein clay soil thi to meine use wash kar ke use pot mein transplant kar diya aur shade mein rakh diya Lekin 2 din baat woh dono plants bilkul dry ho Gaye kya reason hai . Moisture to full maintain tha
I transplanted an Azaela plant one month ago and it went into severe transplant shock and lost many of it’s leaves. Now tiny new leaves are forming. How should I care for it to encourage it to return to its original size and beauty? It was very root bound and I loosened the roots and put it in a pot about 3 inch larger diameter. Do Azaeleas require any special care?
It's in transplant or repotting shock. Water daily for 7 days but now if winter alternate days and keep in shade for 7 days. Water once or twice the first week with Epsom salt solution as mentioned in video to counter this stress.
Hi Can you please tell which of the two is a better approach ( before implanting the plant in a new pot) - 1. Completely washing off all previous soil from the roots 2. Just removing the soil from peripheral part of the root system
Thanks for video just have one query recently while repotting I had accidentally torn few of the roots of the plant but I still went ahead and potted the plant. Due to tearing of the root would it hamper the growth of the plant?
Thanks for another informative video. As I said in my comment on your other video my purple passion is suffering from transplant shock. I've repotted several plants and this is the first time I encountered this. I did not prune the roots - I hesitate to prune down roots for the very reason that the pruning may send the plant into transplant shock
Is it ok to repot in fall? I didnt hear u mention that, I heard u say during growing season is more likely it needs repotting but I didnt hear u say if its bad to do during fall..or winter.

Hello sir,,Please make the video about how we care portulaca plants in rainy season.. because the portulaca plants are melted from the root in over water
Yes, can happen due to repotting shock which can be countered by using Epsom salt solution and keeping in shade for first few days as discussed in video.
I have few chilli plants in one 7 inch pot. I want to repot them but their roots got stuck to each other.plz guide . Should I repoting or let it be them in same pot
I repotted my Bougainvilleas and now leaves are droopy. I had to remove the hard soil around the roots as it was choking them, even though plant was flowering well. We had bought it from nursery a year back but it hasn't grown much in height but does flower in bunches. I watered well after transplant but still leaves are drooping.what to do? Please advice I did add se vermicompost in soil mix and also sprinkled some epsom salt around the rims of the pot
I use all depending on the location. Plastic for shade and Indoor plants. Good quality plastic with approved mark. I have discussed here - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Q4ZFgkcQY_M.html
My adenium plants are root bound and roots have come out of drainage hole.Shall I prune them and repot them in this rainy season?I am from Bangalore.I fear they might be fungal attacked. Please suggest me.Thank u in advance.
Hi, I make my own mix - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_ac8ETOEJY.html To prevent gnats you can add one teaspoon per 5 kg soil of fungicide powder like Carbendazim+Mancozeb combination.
I have a coffee plant who’s leaves started to yellow and growth had slowed down, I then found out it was root bound. Being a novice I sought advice on repotting and it seems the pot I’m using is fairly large, went from a few inch nursery container to a 7-8 inch tall clay pot and was also recommended to use cactus & succulent soil. It’s day two and the leaves are drooping; the soil is cool and not too moist but the leaves are yellow with dark veins (I watched your video and learned this is magnesium deficiency). My question(s) is should I keep it in this pot, should I replant? Any advice? The roots were a light tan color and it was severely root bound. I broke up what I could. Plant is still green, but the trunk is light brown now.
Don’t disturb it again. Watering once with Epsom salt solution like 1 or half teaspoon per litre or with 1 tablespoon of 3% hydrogen peroxide per litre will help to counter this shock. Also keep in shady place with good air circulation for a week.
Hello again, I was hoping for more guidance. It’s been a few weeks now and there hasn’t been any change in the coloring of the leaves, still yellow with dark veins. The overall plant has lost its color of dark green and stopped growing. The epsom has not helped and overall the leaves feel drier than usual. Any other thoughts?
Veronica Williams most likely if it was growing in wet soil or you damaged its taproot from transplanting it would of had root rot which is caused when the soil is to wet and kills the taproot (basically it drowns) or when you transplanted it you severed the taproot which is pretty much a death sentence for most plants
How do I care for my cyclamen plants now that the weather is getting hot? I would like to make sure they come back next year. They are planted in pots.
I just re-potted my plant, and I forgot to add pebbles or pieces of pot at the bottom for drainage. Should I take my plant out and do it all over again???
