If this guy had anything to do with designing my Definitive Technologies BP 2002, then these are my new speakers. The socks aren't the best finish in the world, but the sound of those BP 2002 speakers is still thrilling me in my home theater 20 years later.

There is a pair of Triton Three+ on Facebook marketplace for $750 now. I'm seriously considering the 10 hour round trip drive to go pick them up.

For this price, GoldenEar need to prove to us that their speakers are noticeably better than the ones from Tekton Design, Emotiva Airmotiv T1, Fluance Signature, and Elac.

+Shin Ken that..... and i don't do socks. i'm sure they sound great, but i just can't justify paying x thousands for that type of cabinet finish....

Ok, if the original speakers were so awesome how much better did you really make them? At this point in time good speaker design isn't really rocket science anymore we pretty much know what works and what doesn't. And no, we aren't looking for "more", we are looking for accurate. Unless you are using a massive room. We aren't teenagers trying to win decibel contests with our cars that go thump thump and you can hear them a mile away.
