@ThanosQween oh right it's just as natural as dwarfism in humans. let's just calmly ignore the fact that people with dwarfism develop health complications as they get older or that they have difficulty in doing everyday things because the world was built for tall people. Similarly yes the bulging eyes occured naturally but it's an unwanted mutation that should occur in the rarest of circumstances, but humans are specifically breeding this deformity. We already know unlike the original goldfishes the fancy ones are more sensitive to water quality and would be predated on easily.

Why is it whenever I search for goldfish I inevitably encounter some form of cruelty. Imagine keeping a dog like that? Actually one of you did mention China but here in the UK we are kinder. Honestly, it wouldn't be alive for 16 years without some kind of filtration. In the right environment, goldfish can live for 30 years. The man is what we, where I live, call, an ignorant cunt. Now is a very good time to snatch the goldfish and throw it gently into his pond. Tell him an elderly cat ran in and grabbed it. Before the cat ran off it said.... "meeeeoowwwwivebeenwaiting16yearstogetmyhandsonthisfishy." If you don't help this fish, then let's hope The Lord doesn't show you the same mercy. #GoldLivesMatter

Me and my friend won a goldfish at a carnival and the next morning ot died then we went to petco and bought a stupid one then we got a bigger tank so it could live longer bc the one he was originally in was 1 gallon and goldfish need 10 gallons. We got a 40 gallon tank. We set it up and put the fish in there and watched his eat rocks, bump into the walls, and try to eat everything in the tank. Then about a month and a half later we went to petco and got an oranda and a pleco. Oh and the first gold fish that we had in that tank was named Neptune. The oranda was Venus and the pleco is named glug. Then about a week after my brothers birthday my brother and my mom went and got a black moor and named him kathlu. That all started in the summer of 2019 and it took a few weeks to get the big tank ready so by the time Venus and glug settled in which didn't take very long only about a week it was my brothers birthday. Now we have 3 stupid goldfish that run into the walls, eat rocks, play in the bubbles and current from the filter, bother glug, follow each other around like a small school of fish, and try to eat everything even one time glug was on the side of the tank and Neptune tried to eat him but after 1 nibble Neptune left. Glug eats the thing of wood we have in there or hides under the rocks during the day and eats the algie on the side of the tank and everywhere else during the night.

@@noface17244 Yes. Fish can feel pain. They are most likely accustomed to their deformed condtions and take them for granted. It's pretty wrong- just like what modern dog breeders have done to a long list of dogs.

The Fish he has could either be a Common, Comet, or Tamasaba. They're all single-tailed Goldfish varieties, but the only difference is that the Tamasaba is an egg-bellied variety (which means their backs are deformed, their bodies are shortened, and they have a hard time swimming and eating). It really depends on the body shape. Commons and Comets are the ones commonly sold as "feeders". They grow to an average of 12-15" long and live an average of 15-20 years or longer. The longest living almost 50 years! "Fancy" varieties are often sold under that name; "Fancy". They all reach different sized and shapes and all live different lifespans. However, the smallest is the Bubble-Eye, often reaching 3-4" long and only living up to 5 years. The Fancies are the Wakin and Oranda. The Wakin is a slim-sided variety with double tails like a "Fancy". They grow to about 10" and live for about 15 years. The second is the Oranda. Often reaching anywhere from 6-15" long, this Fish lives for about 10-15 years. I would safety assume that the Fish your Dad has is probably one of the more common varieties, like the Common or Comet. If so, beware, as these Fish will get huge and will eventually require a 75 gallon aquarium at the smallest for a single Fish! However, if he does have the exotic, less common Tamasaba, you shouldn't worry. They reach about 6" long and will only need a 30 gallon Breeder at the smallest for the single Fish. Also consider keeping 2 Goldfish. They are very social creatures and will form something similar to a "school" or "shoal" when frightened or uneasy. I hope this helps! Good luck :)

Yep, and there's even more than what this video shows!!! There are actually over 100 individual breeds I could list. Not off the top of my head, ofc course. Well, off the top of my head if I had a long time, lol. I have it written down somewhere. There is nowhere I can find on the internet that actually had every breed. Most places are missing the froghead, batik scale, leather scale, mirror scale, hammer scale, kinranshi, izumo nankin, phoenix eggfish, royal goosehead, king tigerhead, man-yus, yamataga, chochokin, siamese doll, dragonbacks, meteor, kumanomi, tokai nishiki, and a few other super uncommon breeds that you barely hear about. A lot of places also seem to forget that there are 4 shubunkin breeds, too! There is the London shub, Bristol shub, American shub, and Chinese shub! The Bristol is actually my favourite goldfish, lol.
