A&R for most labels still don’t push that hard. If its not popular or long standing you can’t get up there. Art is subjective but in DnB it’s too clicky
From timeless to platinum breaks 1&2 to all the rufige cru 12” to the dom rob & goldie 12 “ on moving shadow to the calling rmx on planet v box set and the fact that metalheadz is still dropping classics 12 “ like the new dj trace release!! This guy is a legend in the game !!!
Never expect as the interviewer of Goldie to get much in word wise. Someday Goldie may understand to be a more of listener while being as reciprocative. Great interview though.
@@nickycotton6137 Goldie got into "rave music" in '91- his words. By then the scene was 4-5 years old and the foundation was set. Goldie, with help added on, releasing some bangers but later made it commercial while other producers continued to release white labels etc and didn't want the fame
@@ORGPPL1 = Ah right. Did 'ave a Fantazia Tape lent in School (Top Buzz) + always ❤'d the Oldskool rave/'ardcore. Wasn't aware about Goldie's story even though seen lots of his Interviews! Respected.👍. Also noticed SO many not had as much tbf + understandable why they wanted to keep it that way.
Goldie the legend has anyone thought being Goldie such a prolific graffiti artist could he be Banksy I've been broke and ill all my ,life and to think Banksy can change that finacial ability in an instance for anyone that would be my only doubt Goldie not. emir him ?
He uses an engineer , buts it’s very much his ideas . He speaks about Synesthesia where he see’s sounds as colours ..... there’s a good video of him explaining it and his tracks are all drawn out on clip boards and each part is in different colours to get his ideas across to the engineer .... I myself have always coloured my tracks in my daw as how I see them in my head .... my drums are always shades of blue my bass’ are shades green strings yellow vocals red synths orange and little fx’s purple . Just cause someone isn’t gifted playing an instrument it doesn’t mean they can’t produce a good tune .....a high percentage of hip hop producers in the late 80’s and 90’s wouldn’t be able to tell you where middle C was on a piano yet they knew how to spot a sample and turn it in to something completely different
