again when doing these things..... use a straight up bass in plucking style for the bass... letting the bass walk up and down in a 2 octave range with some jazzy vibes... that is much nicer in orchestral setting
i just saw another orchestral dnb piece.... the same thing happend, it sounded more like a locomotive beat than a punchy breakbeat (not that i dont like it... i do like the song itself, but i just mean the orchestra has much more potential for legit dnb) (im producing myself also, took me a while before i found the right sounds.... modern dnb is very digital in the bass with all kinds of automation settings in it, leaving a lot of pauses in the beats that make it sound really technical, myself i like the more liquid styles, with mellow sounds like a real straight up contra bass, DJ aphrodite used to have an album with these kind of sounds)
The Lady sounds fantastic but this sounds way off traditional DnB Not my cup of tea. Should be called by some other sub genre name . I prefer Hough Hardie she moves.
