In Latin America since the dubs are normally done in a neutral spanish accent, they chose to give Goldi and her family a Argentinian accent to replicate the feeling of the English accent in contrast to the more neutral english from the rest of characters (Argentinian accent stands out a lot for spanish speakers. You can easily recognize when someone comes from Argentina, just the same with the people from England).
Fun fact! The bear at the two scenes at 1:24 and the next scene on the log is voiced by the same guy who voiced Mr Beaver in the most recent Narnia: The Lion The Witch and the Wardrobe movie
I find it really funny how Papa Bear has played pianos after stuffing people inside them as a form of torture for so long, the family has come up with a name for that specific action.
The fact that they gave them street-level, blunt Cockney accents instead of more prim, traditional British accents like Hollywood usually does made me so happy the whole movie
I find it amusing that Goldie, after all these years, STILL doesn’t know how to handle them when they lose focus. She gets flustered whenever they’re all like: “food?!” Whole family has the collective attention span of a fruit fly. 🤣
@@allisonkrueger8330 as someone who also have ADHD, They're right mate... I still wish I have better motor control and didn't bump into anything while my attention control loose their shit tho.
I love how they are not even really evil. They Want a Wishing Star as much as Puss, Kitty and Perrito team. They even wanted to hire both Puss and Kitty. The only really evil guy is Jack Horner. The rest is neutral including Death. Also no one is Good except for Perrito.
That’s Ray Winstone, he’s basically known for that voice. He’s had a pretty long career. I’d certainly like him to have a raise too lmao, but real talk, he’s probably doing fine. A good cockney accent can take you a long way! xD
@@Foodnerrla Florence Pugh, Olivia Colman, Ray Winstone and Samson Kayo are all English you fucking toenail. Australian, Jesus Christ you knobhead they don't sound a damned thing like Australians
I hope we get a short like the Three Diablos one showing them taking over the pie factory. Come on! They can’t make Baby talk about wanting to wear a purple suit and not showing him actually wearing it
I honestly would love to see a movie about Goldie and her family committing crimes. They we’re amazing characters and a wonderful family Edit : seems like a lot of people love this idea. Dreamworks! Get on it!
Imanol Lopez Romero: only Jack Horner is the worst pure villian dead inside, the wolf that is death is the force of nature, for the family of bears and Goldilocks it is a criminal family but if does not hide its feelings that it is actually a family happy
Their badass intro led me to believe that Goldie had tamed the bears and subjugated them like pets or working animals. But turns out they're one big family and that is INFINITELY better.
0:03 can we appreciate the fact that right off the bat the movie tells us what Goldi’s wish is. After all the names appear the only words left on the poster are “Want Family”.
0:31 I love how even Jack looks at them like “Seriously?… you guys bust your way into my lair to steal my newest most priceless artefact.. and now you want some of my pies?.. I’m like a big time crime lord and I’ve got literally hundred of magical items in this room alone and.. you guys want the item my legitimate business makes?… Seriously?”
I love how they can flip between wholesome British family to murderous psychopaths on a dime. Mama Bear's "or I'll have ya guts for garters" line is so raw. Plus its fitting that Mama Bear is the scariest given the stereotype of mother bears being violently protective of their babies
'The Last Wish' had more villains crammed into it than 'Spider- Man 3,' yet they work wonderfully because they each bring something different to the table: Goldilocks and the Bears bring the humor, Jack Horner brings the scumbaggery and poses the most immediate threat, and Death brings the quiet menace and drives Puss's inner conflicts.
Another user pointed this out, but if you look at 0:02, the Wanted poster becomes scratched out and the last remaining words are “Want Family”, foreshadowing what Goldilocks and also the three bears wanted all along
I love how all the antagonists in this movie don’t clutter each other up and they all have their roles of different movie antagonists, Goldilocks and the three bears are basically the good bad, death is the neutral bad and jack is the true bad and it suits them extremely well too!
Imanol Lopez Romero: i'm going to tell You something when You listen to me. Goldi and his family of bears 🐻 at first are good but being a criminal family means that they earn a living but have feelings inside but when they unite the cats and Perrito against jack horner the worst enemy, like when goldi, Kitty and Puss break the map in team, like this fans welcome goldi as a heroine for doing the right thing. Death 🐺 not very evil, the forcé of Nature, what he says was true that having 9 lives seems absurd to him and that he did not value any of them because he was ignorant and careless but you see that i value his last life and let him live in peace
I love the violence between them, because the same happens in nature/when you are in a true friendship or have a sibling. In nature Brown Bears are very violent when playing.
In relation to whether or not these three bears are the same or different from the Shrek ones (they’re probably just a retcon like Rumpelstiltskin looking different from his design in Shrek 3) I have a fun (and dark) theory: Lord Farquad did in fact turn Mama Bear into a throw rug (and possibly Papa too). Baby managed to escape and since Farquad proclaimed himself as a king, this caused Baby to view all royals as evil and he became an anarchist (EAT THE RICH!). He left for the neighbouring land to start a new life and vowed to never be caged or answer to anyone in power again. He would eventually meet his wife and they’d have their son and then adopt Goldi before they started their crime family, which Baby (now Papa) suggested naming after his late parents in honour of their memory. Basically, Papa is the grown up grizzled baby bear from Shrek 1 who escaped his life of slavery and turned anarchist to spite all nobles by starting a crime family named for his lost birth family.
@@xarvis9047 Technically since Shrek 1. And we don’t know which life Puss was on during his time with Shrek. Update: I just remembered, Puss lost his 7th life when he was burned to death baking cookies with Gingie. So Puss met Shrek at the very least during his 7th life or perhaps the 6th.
@@mahad813 Imagine if he tried to mimic a Scottish accent just for that one line! 🤣 Edit: also, why did your comment dissapear? Here, for future reference: [ _"More like your daily roadman in England."_ ]
0:25 This is one of my favorite parts. Goldi always tries so hard to keep them focused on the mission, then they just completely derail the standoff in an attempt to get some pies out of it and all she can do is weakly attempt to make sense of them and shut it down.
The best scene was goldilocks accepting them as her true family. The scene where the papa bear smacks the kid for not listening to his sister was funny too
@@Nisah98 I hope you never have to experience what its like to have everyone hate you for being who you are, when its something you cant change, then blame it on you as "asking for it". I hope you learn to have empathy before you have to experience it yourself.
2:04 - This is the second time I've heard a character with a British accent use the insult 'muppet'. The first being Eunie from Xenoblade Chronicles 3. Never fails to make me crack a smile.
My favorite thing about this family was definitely the part when Goldie admitted she wanted "a proper family" and mama bear said the most proper family thing to say "If this is something that will make you happy, we'll get you that wish" and then the whole family tried their best to help Goldie. That one line made me tear up so hard. So beautiful.
I love how the map not only brings the bears to their cabin but it's their cabin at its best: clean, roasting fire, lots of honey and perfectly comfortable with no hostile activity going on like in the rest of the dark forest. It's doing everything to show Goldi she already has the perfect family.
Easily the greatest depiction of Goldilocks and the Three Bears in a movie, ever. The Bears are hysterical in every scene they're in. They had such a wholesome dynamic and a great ending to their story. I would love to see a short featuring them again
Watched this movie with my husband and honestly…I’d watch it again it was too cute. Goldie is a vibe, death is also like huge vibe. Homeboy mad that people don’t value life so he makes it a ‘fun’ part of his job. Whole movie is just wild.
It has been on repeat in our house (toddler especially loves it) and I've still not grown tired of it. Characters were so well done, movie goes ridiculously hard for a kid's movie
I love the little "Here we go!" Papa throws in before playing a song. It's like dude stuffed her in a piano and then randomly decided to enjoy himself and play a song 🎹
the latin american spanish dub for this movie was wonderful! while people mostly hear mexican voice actors, goldie locks and the bears were voiced by argentinians, which gave them so much charm throughout the movie!
2:18 I love how even though he’s pure evil, Jack still has moments of “oh crap” or confusion like at 0:32 to show that he’s still human in some way. A lot of animated villains, even the ones that are pure evil, are super serious and barely react to anything especially comedic stuff. But Jack will still show distress or confusion like a real person. Makes him still relatable in a weird way.
Imanol Lopez Romero: i'm not afraid of them but i like them because of their bear style, they are perfect than Vicent another bear, pure evil and selfishness than the family
Imanol Lopez Romero: she looks perfect because of her face than Rapunzel from Tangled, i think Goldilocks would beat Rapunzel with the help of Moana, the 2 appreciated them for their bravery, they have guts than Rapunzel
If you live in the US, just go to Disney Land or Knot’s Berry Farm. You’ll hear this accent at least once. I was in line for Ghost Rider, and a bunch of people from the UK with Baby’s accent were in line. They were nice too and hilarious.
The pure chaos of the bears invading Mama Luna’s is just so good. It really shows how scatterbrained and dysfunctional they can be while still coming off as loving
