In a world of people that are basically gods or continent destroying superhumans, there's something refreshing about Goldlewis just being a normal human using his brute strength and a fuckin' SCP in a coffin used as a flail. Can't wait for his release.
@@Neogears1312 Alie- sorry "Cryptid" also has the ability to abduct people (possibly sending them to Goldlewis's collection) and leave a crop circle marking on the ground.
The power of America, baby but to be honest, GG has fair share of only-slightly-above regular humans that has as much power as someone who carries alien, giant metal coffin and heavy weaponries.
Its so surreal seeing scenes about the Secretary of State in a war room talking about "Stealth Magic" and "The White House is moving in a straight line."
Probably the best 'big guy' character design I've ever seen. Most of the time characters like this are supposed to be gross or comedy relief but this dude looks fucking badass. I usually only play female characters myself but I will make an exception for this absolute unit.
5:08 The amount of chadness this radiates is unfathomable. Guy catches the a rpg with one hand and proceeds to toss it like a toy. Truly a American hero.
There's something amazing about how the former US president, a mountain of a man with an alien-corpse coffin as his weapon who collects cryptids, and an ex-mafia ex-methhead ninja (who is also the president of an african country) discussing the serious sociopolitical consequences of two archmages- one of which is also The Joker, and has blue skin- and a flamebending queen fan/professional blacksmith being allowed on the white house (which is currently FLYING to mexico)-- and all of this is taken seriously. Guilty Gear is beautiful.
I’m mildly disappointed, because when I first saw pictures of him I saw the chain and the coffin, and I assumed he swung the coffin around like a giant flail. Now I think the chain is probably too short, but I still want to play him the most out of the leaked DLC.
@@cylondorado4582 The thing is, there's an image of him swinging it. I don't know where it comes from, cause it's not in the movie scenes. twitter.com/Rooflemonger/status/1401552365824753668/photo/3
566 pounds, to be exact. The thing is, it should be more. He's seven feet tall. A 7-foot tall person who weighs 566 would weigh 353 pounds at a heigh of six feet (there's a mathematical formula for this stuff). But looking at his build, he looks more like he would weigh at least 400 pounds at average male height. And that would put his 7-foot-tall weight at 640 pounds.
@@kaiserlos2441 She's also possibly part of the reason Chipp made his Kingdom. He saved her from assassins during her first term as President, and they talked about policies and law for a while. Depending on the timeframe of this, it's possible that this was part of the catalyst for Chipp making his country
*_Goldlewis in story:_* Catches and tosses back a missile with his bare hands and projects a goddamn Reinhardt shield to protect against getting shot at... *_Goldlewis in game:_* 40-60 matchups at best against anyone with a projectile, most of them even worse.. ... This makes me sad.
@eLite-Tiss91 He could definitely chuck Asuka like a hacky sack, especially considering Asuka is the physically weakest character in the series Problem is getting close to him in the first place
Granted I watch everything dub but I cant stand fighting games not in a language I can understand since it usually means during gameplay I wont understand anything being said and its just an avalanche of white noise
@@happyvalentine4008 I suppose I do have the benefit of having picked up some basic Japanese along the years. Basic, but enough that I can comfortably listen to it with(sometimes without) subs. One argument I see a lot in regards to "subs vs. dubs" is "you can't know if the performance is good unless you properly know the language", which just doesn't make sense to me. Like...Is it somehow uncommon to detect sentence structure, nuance and understand acting tropes in a different language? Maybe it's because I'm Finnish, and have also been taught Swedish along with English ever since 3rd grade. Anyway. Sorry for the essay. Some few rare cases though, I just think the dubbed VO fits the character better, like Goldlewis and more recently, Rashid in Street Fighter 6.
@@usamimi-no-majo I get the "pick up the acting through inflections" stance. Generally though I just stick to dubbing since It's only really ever Japanese products I see people argue dubs vs subs about. The same people who say dubs are incomparable to subs will then turn around and play Witcher/Cyberpunk in English instead of Polish or watch Arcane in English instead of French. My monkey brain just goes "I watch literally everything else in dub I don't see what the big deal is of doing the same for anime/japanese games" Plus I think knowing the language people are speaking helps smaller inflections get picked up on. For instance I can recognize a variety of accents when spoken in English but in a foreign language all the character roles could he shared by 4 people and I probably wouldn't notice.
@@happyvalentine4008 Arcane is a bit of a poor example since it's specifically animated for the English voices, but I get the point. For example I prefer Resident Evil and FF7R in English. And really, in the end, preference is all that matters. Whatever helps people enjoy the media better, not everyone needs to be a voice performance analyzer like me(which is what I enjoy). xD
Dude is likely voiced by Richard Epcar if my ears are correct, he was one of the sorta generic voices in Skyrim, most notably you probably hear Proventus in his voice
I’m sorry but I cannot do this story, it really feels like you can wittle it down to a basic movie premise. Main character is a hero, has a friend who is special and love interest, Happy and I-No are the “unusual powers villain”, and Axl is “hey something going on” it feels like it can be slotted into place
