@@Big.Stepper. That's B.S. tried to screw with Dusty. Dusty goes way back with the McMahon family since the 70's. Dusty and Dustin weren't talking to each other back in 1995.🙄
Underrated and bizarre are two words to describe Goldust. Similar to the Undertaker how he kept the longevity of the character is a credit to Dustin. Perfect character and the music Jim Johnston was put on this earth to create entrance themes he GETS it!.
Original Goldust was the best Goldust. That brief period in 1995 & '96 when they were just starting to experiment with more edgy content was an interesting time to watch the product. Probably more so in hindsight since we can look back on it with a more analytical perspective. At the time, the focus was more on just paying attention to the growing competition from WCW.
He prefers to be the stepping stone and likely helping others to be succesful, his offcameras actions and advices are enormous, one of the most unique and fitting themes in all time, gimmick that will be buried today in weeks, but Dustin makes us love bizzareness and unique way of intimidations, for me he is somekind of god of Midcard ( didn´t mean it in bad way ) that can still keeps with the big names. Respect for him even in nowadays in AEW with nearly of 2 metres of height and 51 years of age this guy do Canadian Destroyer like nothing and getting the spotlight on not so known QT Marshall. Like why don´t he change his gimmick to GoldHeart, cause he has heart of gold
Always thought in his earlier days with Marlena, he could’ve been a great heel world champion. Sadly WWF caved in to all the complaints they were getting from Karen type parents and turned him into more of a comic relief mid-carder.
Please tell me you know they're brothers and the only reason Stardust was Cody's gimmick was cause Vince hates the Rhodes family and always tries to embarrass them, but they always rise above and show everyone just how great they are.
Currently watching WWF from 1996> and wow. Dude played the character so G.D well. Totally wouldn’t go today cause of cancel culture. But he truly played the character 10/10. Perfect...simply Golden....say the name...GOLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDUSSSSSSSTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT...
One of my top 5 Jim Johnstone made themes. When wrestling was cool haha It's that strings melody, sticks in my head, similar flare to Beverly Hills Cop movie
@@TheKidyoung24 To be REALLY pedantic, for his early appearances before he actually wrestled on TV, he worked dark matches coming out to the Ric Flair WWF theme, the 2001 knockoff.
This fits him perfectly he looks weird and acts weird I'm not saying he is a bad wrestler but he just acts and looks weird and this theme is eerie and weird sounding so it's still a good theme though
Truly the most beautiful entrance theme of all time. It perfectly encapsulates the character. It’s “glamour” while retaining a sense of brooding & mystery. Intrigue if you will. Perfect for the character. This version, the original Jim Johnston version with the strings is far superior to the updated version with keys. The strings give you that haunting feel that the keys just can’t.
That moment when you realize the same company that had Undertaker lose twice at Wrestlemania, made a guy paint himself in gold and glitter whilst prancing about like the stereotypical, flamboyant transvestite roflmao
He was originally supposed to be like a living Oscar award. It was only after the crowd wouldn't stop chanting "faggot" at him that they just played up the homophobia angle.
It's crazy how ppl look back and say Vince did this on purpose. To hold him down, since apparently Vince didnt like Dusty Rhodes. Even if that ever WERE true.. This is hands down one of the best gimmicks ever, and Dustin was perfect for it 👌

"Hey...If you people, do not shut your mouths right now, I am personally gonna come out there, AND *KISS EACH AND EVERY ONE OF YOU* so shut up! -Goldust
Can You Do Dustin Rhodes “The Natural” WCW Entrance Theme Before Goldust, His “Artist Formally Known As Goldust”, Seven WCW Entrance Theme & Maybe Black Reign TNA Entrance Theme, Please?
Normal. What the majority does Somtimes works a 9 to 5 job and Goes home to spouse of opposite gender and wears clothes of biological gender generally Of course there are further means but this is simple one, Mundane, average, common Weird. goes against society norms Has relationships with one of same gender, dresses or acts like that of the opposite gender, somtimes commits acts frowned upon, sometimes has a unusual job Creepy, fringe, odd, bizzare, androgynous
@@technounionrepresentative4274 I hear you. Who decides normal though? I mean, it’s an interesting question. The fashion of men having short hair was a result of the Roundheads cutting or cropping their hair during the English Civil War (although, I know cropped hair was around before that but became universal around this time). Suits for formal wear were invented by the Victorians hundreds of years later. A suit is now the norm for formal attire. All of these norms were decided upon by a higher class. They decided it and we all followed. Imagine if the world had been left to its own thought process. We would all have our own style and nobody would care because we wouldn’t be thinking in terms of weird or normal. I think you hit the nail on the head with normal being ‘what the majority does’ and weird being ‘going against society norms’. Both answers are spot on imo. It’s just interesting to think WHY something is seen as normal and who put these norms in place. Like, what is the history of normal. Just an interesting thought. But yeah, thanks for the response
When Dustin debuted as Goldust,he was shown as an eccentric movie director who had come to the then WWF to create a masterpiece, with his then real life wife Terri playing Marlena,a character modelled after Marlene Dietrich. She debuted as a coolly unconcerned & indifferent Television director-like manager often sitting at ringside
@@mikejcoen well everyone knows that. But the question is what the music itself was based off of. Was there a movie score or piece of music from somewhere else that Dustin liked? We all know Stone Cold's theme is based off of Bulls on Parade by RATM.
