Everyone you go to is great but this Monte guy has some solutions that fix a great deal and a great explanation to the swing and each piece. This helped me. I took an online lesson from Monte about a month ago and was exaggerating the forward head movement and way too steep with my irons. I' ll try keeping my head back slightly and elbow forward. By the way these sessions with Monte are the practical instruction on the web.

BBG - enjoying the videos and agree with your recent comments that there a lot of (mainly adult) golfers new to the game looking for help. Appreciate you sharing your quest. That said, I was videoing myself this weekend and despite making a lot of progress with my swing recently, am having problems with my head moving toward the target from the face on view. Looking forward to trying Monte's drill.

I like his thoughts on the takeaway you have. I think a lot of people focus on things in their swings and other people's swings that really don't have a lot to do with faults in people's golf swings. Don't get me wrong I would love to have a PGA tour take away but working on it will not yield a lot of results. I much rather take a ugly golf swing that hits 15 greens a round from the tips than a great looking swing that hits 5 greens a round from the whites.

I went out to the driving range and tried this swing yesterday afternoon (Set the club early and swung the club). I don't think I've ever struck my irons more solid, crisp and consistently at target. It was as effortless power, I am 62 years old and was hitting my 7 iron 175 yards with range balls and I am pretty sure I saw a couple of the young bucks watching my shots, that was priceless. However, like all golfers, I wanted more, swung a little harder and I battled hitting them to the right (very solid, felt like a dead pull baseball power hitter). Nonetheless, I went back to an easy tempo and stopped moving my head forward and dropping my shoulder... Thanks for posting these video's, where do I send my check and who do I make out to?

Seems like the more I keep my head still, the more I want to slide my hips. I have to consciously tell myself to turn, not sway. Any thoughts???

I love your channel. To me, your backswing is disconnected...that IS the problem and why you are inconsistent. Try one piece takeaway and staying connected throughout the swing.

It clearly looks like your take-away is way inside which causes you to go over the top just a touch, and just maybe, that is what causes you to pull it left.

Swing path is the key, if you keep it on plane you can rotate as fast as you want and not get stuck, the club will get the hands into correct position!!!!!!

I don't get why your no cast drill swing can't just be your swing? Do a side by side from this dialing in your reg swing to the after swing in the no cast swing drill video. Am I missing something? I am a high handicapper that has seen great results on the range from NCS drill and don't understand why that can't be it

Try and keep your head back? How about from the top bump the hips towards the target? Your lower body staying back, along with your inside take away, is whats causing the over the top steep move to happen. Telling someone to keep their head back results in fat shots from my experience anyways. Idk if this is just to get them to feel something and then you go about fixing it or what but trying to get someone to have the feeling of anything going back in a golf lesson normally ends badly.

My view is you work one or two things in one time until your body can do them "naturally" the move to next. It's not easy, but our body does not function as brain which can process mass information quickly. Too much information will make you "think" and question yourself what went wrong shot after shot. Your body will never have time to "learn" if you constantly change or add one "fix" to the other.
