I know this video is 2 years old, but I have to say how much I appreciate the amount of time it would have taken to put this video together! Great video! Great game. Well explained. Thank you.
When I play any variant of golf, I find it easier (and more fun) to mark a 0 or E for even par. Since this variant is a par 3, a score of 9 on the 3rd hole would be marked a 0 or E (for even par). If you are over par, for example 12 on the same hole, you would be +3. If you were doing well and had a mere 7 at the end of the third hole, you would be -2. Golf is a sport you often play against yourself, so knowing that you are close to your best score (I'm at -2 and I'm so close to my record of -4!!!) adds extra fun even if you are behind against better players. Thanks for your excellent explanations and examples. I have a card game that I have created that allows all the classics but adds new ones (like Space Invaders). Key to this "system" is a way to allow players of different skill levels to play relatively evenly. I like to give newbies a taste of success by taking on a higher difficulty and really forcing me to up my game. I'd be happy to share - I'm trying to get it to a Kickstarter at some point. I want more people to come back to this awesome, fun game you can play whilst out lifting a pint with pals!
Just played this for the very first time and finished with a score of 40. 😃 It's definitely a game I will integrate into my practice. You explain the game very well. 😉 Great content fella 🫡
I do like these videos and appreciate your time in teaching us new games. With Golf, what score gets recorded if a player fails to hit the board with 3 darts, intentionally or not?
Thank you for your comment. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. The answer to your question is "5-points". If the last dart thrown hits anywhere outside of the target number, it's a double-bogey.
