Wow the tech for golf is nuts and something I would never thought about. Not into golf, but very cool to see everything behind it and the Vision Pro app is sick. Would love to see this for F1 like the mock up and many more. Definitely have to check out that app.
The production value on this is impeccable. I’m a golfer and I knew about some of the tech, primarily the ones used to tweak and track golfers swings, but not the tech that goes into broadcasting.
@@wooshbait Hmm.. maybe its not. I guess the other bots copied a comment that got hearted and reposted. This might be the original, then. Many bots don't have a profile picture and have a hyphen '-' in their names. So I thought this is too.
Okay.... I've been watching the MKBHD channel for a long time now and this was probably my favorite video so far. I love playing and watching golf and I love (and even work in) tech. You just showed me what I've been wondering about for years. Thanks for a great video Marques and team. Thanks!
I remember when motorbikes stopped and took the time between 'tete de la course' and others and used walkie talkies to relay it in. Now they have live second to second updates.
Sports that are played on a field like football, tennis, golf, athletics etc can be equipped with tech covering that particular field, but how can you cover with tech the large surface of a big country like France? The best they can do now is tell us the power/watts of the riders or drone footage, but still the technology in cycling is limited compared to other sports.
I don't remember the video but I do remember when you talked for the first time about your interest in breaking down tech in sports and dam I didn't expected it to be so fascinating. Great idea, excellent execution, looking forward for more of this.
It’s really cool to see your passion be put into this video, Marques. It goes to show that when the host is genuinely excited, that excitement can easily be transferred onto the viewers.
Wow this is awesome to see! This week I started at one of the major golf associations as their IT director so it is so amazing to see golf being featured! The tech is amazing!
I was there as a shotlink volunteer! 😎I was spotting at the 10th green on Saturday, and took almost the exact same picture of the TV tower that you did. Thanks for showcasing this awesome tech to everyone!!
This is sick ! Great Explanation Marques, now the next time I see this on T.V. , I will have a greater appreciation for the Tech that went into the game & will remember this RU-vid post for years to come!
The word “soccer” came to America from Britain. The British originally called it soccer to differentiate it from the other foot-ball sports but apparently due to the popularity of the sport in the rest of Europe as well as the rest calling it football, the British update their lexicon. Soccer never really took off in the US (until recently), so there wasn’t any pressure to rename it. Now it’s probably too late thanks to American football. tldr: blame the British
Marques - been a fan for a long time and this is just substantial reason why. This is the kind of video that is not only well-produced, but can also be extremely well-digested by those not into tech. Well done. Keep up this insanely great work. 😊
I have golf + on quest 3 and it IS AMAZING! Highly recommend 👌 its all of this in one. Teaches you swings and different weights and greens. I never played real golf until i got it, now i play A LOT. When i went first time people were shocked when i said ive never played "real" golf. 😂
I have always wondered how they pulled off some of this amazing tech through television, but never cared enough to research it myself so thank you for taking the time to make this video as much as golf is not a sport I will ever watch, but it was very informative and you made it cool. Thanks, Marques.
Seeing Marques genuinely geeking out is always fun, but this one felt a bit more special, I guess because of his connection to the sport. Awesome video.
This is why you are the Got you are making this sport more interested those people who don’t watch it to start watching golf kudos to you . I love it when you start to explain things dear to your heart like the F1 formula please keep on doing those things❤
It's nice to be reminded of how much better watching bike races like the Tour de France could be. We NEED tech like this in cycling! believing Pepellio 🐸 will make it
i never was a fan of golf but seeing all the tech and work bts makes me not only have a greater appreciation for the sport but actually look forward to tuning in again now... this was an incredible video
13:39 Marques at the end casually flexing by saying: “So yeah; shot out again to the PGA Tour for making this video possible, for pulling back the rope letting us see behind the scenes. Nobody gets to see this stuff, *but now you can*”. Brow, we can see this stuff because is YOU, the biggest tech RU-vidr ever. Thanks for letting us know the great challenge that is the golf transmissions, without making us bored (as an intermediate level golfer, I know it can get really boring sometimes, but at the end, is patience, confidence, and professionalism that make you win playing golf).
Its actually great marketing. I bet there are tons of people who will start watching some golf now because of this video who wouldve never gotten the idea before.
Sooooo tired of the incremental tech updates to phones! Great job @MKBHD covering New Tech from F1 to Disney to now Golf! heard about Pepellio 🐸? love it
Man hell yeah - I was actually looking up a couple weeks ago how this PGA technology works while watching the tournament and couldn't find any good videos explaining it, you sir, have nailed it yet again
Don't you love it when Marques is impressed by some tech. His presentation is always stellar, but he gets this look in his eye and a smile after explaining it that tells you he's really loving it.
Love this, as an ex teaching professional and being involved with the World Cup of Golf held in South Africa 1996 at Erinvale GC. We never had these cool tricks. Super informative vid. Well Done.
Great to highlight the amount of tech in golf, Marques. From the R&D that goes into golf products, to the tech that consumers can use (personal launch monitors, scoring GPS apps, laser rangefinders, etc) tons of tech in golf. Thanks!
Thanks for shedding some light on the greatest game on earth 🙌 I’m constantly amazed by the innovation that’s rolled out each year not just for the pros, but for us Mere Mortals too.
We need more of this. I love watching your content. I’m not a golfer but this video educates, inspires and intrigues me so much more than any review video about a phone that can do phone stuff. Always great to know latest specs etc but I thoroughly enjoyed the ride I just went on with you. Props to pitching new ways the VR headsets can be more useful too. Would love to have that floating island of each hole but at the same time pin the live broadcast feed to a wall in the background. Hats off. 🎉
I just took the time to do the exact same thing! Can't let our main man in tech be getting used by these scammers. It's scary to see how good some of these bots are becoming.
