Another great game Gen and very unlucky not to go even par. Being a 16 handicapper (and improving) I have never gone even par for even 9 holes but recently after following some of your tips was 1 over with 1 hole to go for 9 holes. Had a 6 metre birdie put to par the 9 then 3 putted. 😟 So each time I watch you I’m relying on you to par the course for me! 😊
Malaysia wasnt my first thought for awesome golf courses, but everytime I watch one of your videos you're playing somewhere with spectacular surroundings,....bet theres little chance of finding your ball if you stray into the jungle left and right....but you don't see those parts of the course very much do you Gen .😉😁
I always love seeing the beautiful courses you play in your part of the world. Your attitude is very positive and is perfect for golf. Play well and stay healthy.
Gen's a Birthday Girl? Happy Birthday Gen!! I really appreciate your explanations on club selections, the reasoning helps me with my game! Thx for sharing your journeys with us, it's always instructive, and definitely always entertaining! What's up with that last green? It looks like someone was in training with a new green machine...
Great video Gen. I like the tips and facts that you talk us through as you play. I love to watch you play, more videos like this please and you could do some instructional videos when you get time. Thanks, Steve 🇬🇧
In lockdown here in Scotland Gen, snow and ice means course is shut, love your videos, you are a true golf fanatic just like many of us. It's a treat to watch you show us how it should be done on these winter days.
@@GenevieveLingGolf I saw in some of the holes, eg Hole 10 which often has the “boar/effect” in the middle of the fairway, which often come into play in my second shot, but didn’t in yours. Of course your wood 3 shot is a pro shot, unlike my social golfer wood3 shot... hihi. Keep it up Gen, make the country proud!
See some comments of Happy Birthday... so my best wishes too! Thanks for another great course management vlog... another par, and another par, and another finger snapping par!
Seems like a very nice course and tight fairways !!! lots of turns for sure !::) love to play there someday, once travel start opening - Mahalos for making the vid, Keep it coming and keep up the great work. Mahalos-Bubba!!
my favourite course... ( last play was more than 7 yrs ago).... use to take a lot of tiget line but looking at it now, a lot of trees have matured thus tiger would be tough. noted that the fairway lack of maintenance....love this course... the scenic is great but hot
First video I have seen of yours. Very informative for a new golfer such as myself. Great insight into course management that can be applied on any course,
It's awesome how most of Gen's mishits on approach shots are still 20-35ft birdie puts. Definitely on another level when you can start hitting irons so straight. That course was rough so +1 is nothing to sneeze at.
Not sure how everyone knows it's your birthday but if it is then happy birthday. Mine was yesterday. Funny, you were talking about the greens being hard. I got to golf here in Montana in January for the first time in my life (usually to much snow), and the greens were so hard the ball bounced 20 feet into the air if you landed on them from anywhere outside of 50 yards.
@@GenevieveLingGolf Oh? Well, I am surprised, but also glad you have had the opportunity! Can't wait until winter is over though.. can't wait to get off the sim and get my feet back on the grass!
Golf sidekick subscriber here coming over to watch, learn and of course subscribe. I describe your game as silk because everything about it is smooth and consistent.
Happy B-day Gen... love watching your and “waddaplaya” Matt’s vids. Entertaining and easily accessible stuff. I noticed you are kinda playing around with your ‘box info’... which looks great. When you post your current ‘score to par’, it might look better with the “+\-“ nomenclature... “+1” instead of “1”. Food for thought, nothing more. For sure, another great vid and please keep them coming!
Beautiful course! Reminds me of some of the courses here in Hawaii. Also fortunate to be able to play year-round here. PGA has been on Oahu this week for the Sony Open. We usually go to watch a couple days - but no spectators this year due to COVID.
This is the first time I've watched one of your vids. It is very well made/edited, a really lovely looking course and you're incredibly talented at golf. I've subscribed and shall watch some more.
I like how you give the yardage from were you are ...instead of leaving up the entire hole's yardage ...can see your distances easily and less math for me
Hi Gen, I really enjoy watching your videos! Keep it up. Please share your video set-up please hehe how do you manage to record at the golf course without taking much time (of yours and others hehe)
Happy Birthday! What is your go to distance if you want to set up a wedge for hitting it close? You seem to be leaving it as close to the green as you could. I like to take that second on a par 5 so i leave about 95 carry.
I think it depends on your ability! I’ve said before, high handicappers shouldn’t have to worry so much about “laying up” as much as they should just get it as close as they can so that they have a better chance to get it on the green from there! Lower handicappers “should” be able to hit it decently from whatever distance UNLESS there’s a particular distance that you don’t like then obviously avoid that! 😄
What a beautiful course. I hate having people behind me too. Especially when they're impatient and they hit the ball which lands near your feet and they don't yell out FORE!!!! It happens regularly.
Man, those putts are very difficult! You did very well saving par on a lot of them! And the course was very deceptive since you hadn't played it before. I'll bet you would do a lot better if you played it again!
The green you're showing us at 32:18 - does this condition involve some fungus of the grass? Otherwise a perfect condition course - would love to play there... Happy b'day, Gen!
@@GenevieveLingGolf Hi Gen... great to see you at Danau UKM today. I was the one who said Hi to you when you were at the 9th par 5 green. Nice weather indeed today (we're lucky, usually its pretty hot 😅). Looking forward for your Danau video soon 😄
