@@bigdogpete43 the PGA says the club is illegal for a PGA event. A club can be adjustable but, you can't make changes to loft or lie once a round starts. @@jake-thegoat In theory it is possible. For example, your playing partner sinks a long putt, gets excited and throws his club up in the air and starts doing a happy dance, and you pick up his putter as a courtesy, forgetting that your club is still on the ground, and then you drive off and someone else grabs your club. Someone would need a bad memory but an older person having a "senior moment" might do this.

Hello Gustav, I know it has been 3 years, but I am curious if you ever bought this club? I am also a pilot. I am struggling to find a way to practice/play the game on the road. When you factor in transportation, greens fees; rental clubs... golf isn't very affordable on the road. This club or something similar could save in rental costs or even bring a bag of foam balls to practice with also. I am also worried this would get flagged by TSA and taken from me immediately. Waste of $350 then. Golf clubs are supposed to be checked baggage only. But this is just 1 club and we are pilots... might get by? Lol

Ironically despite his “meh” review I actually bought one as I was moving around a lot at the time, and I found that basically this wasn’t limiting my golf 😂 It’s also pretty clear that Rick hadn’t read the care instructions at all as to shorten it you should be gently tapping it on concrete or similarly hard material to take back down to regular size. It’s definitely marketed as a travel club and a way to stay connected to the game when taking your full set of clubs wouldn’t work. I’m super happy with mine, and actually got me back onto the local range recently. Not as good or nice as a full set but definitely played with worse clubs! PS - the way to adjust the length is to grip it lower down 😊

What I've learned from this channel is that golf is not about the equipment
@jakemiller9495
@jakemiller9495 2 года назад
Something I’ve learned is that, for most sports/hobbies, there’s a middle ground where equipment makes a difference. Beginners don’t know enough to make the differences in equipment matter and pros are good enough to make whatever they get ahold of work well. But that middle group have enough room to improve that the benefits of better equipment make a difference but aren’t good enough so that their game has such little room to make better.

@@jakemiller9495that's correct. Same with buying a guitar. If you're Eric Clapton then a $20,000 custom Strat makes a difference. For nearly everyone else a $1,000 mid range Strat will be just as good. However (and I'm guessing golf is the same), there's no point wasting your money on a $100 guitar as a beginner. Horrible to play and you'll either give up or replace it within a few months.

Well I managed to pick up one of these in the UK a few months ago and I've played about 6 rounds with it. I have mixed views to be honest. It is a very unforgiving club to use although in fairness I am not a very good golfer and struggle to maintain a 22 handicap. I think this club would be much better in the hands of a good player. The face of the club is quite small and unless you hit the ball bang on the sweet spot every time then you are in trouble with it. I kept forgetting to move my grip up and down the club if playing wedges, 7 and 8 irons and this is almost certain to ruin the shot. The best setting is the 5 iron and I found myself playing it a lot. It is fifficult to putt with and with the driver setting right next to the putter setting it was very easy to set it to the wrong one. On the plus side, the club is robust and I have confidence that you can put some power into your shots without worrying about breaking it. I bought the club as used and the little plastic wingnut cover was missing. Replacements are very cheap but the mailing costs from the USA are very high so I just carry a small 5/8 ring spanner instead which does the job. In summary I would say that the problems I have with the club say more about my standard of play than any defects in the design of the club. It is fantastic to walk jauntily around the course, especially as winter approaches, with the club over my shoulder while I offer less than helpful advice to my playing partners as they drag their trolleys around!!. I think a low handicapper would master the club much quicker than I am and would be able to get maximum performance from it. In the meantime I will persevere with it.

Ian, I'm so sorry that you had this experience. The other golfers must have thought you were sharing someone else's clubs, and the ranger didn't back you up. I had one customer who said his golf course Pro manager wouldn't let him play with it, "Because it didn't conform with the Rules of Golf." I called that Pro and asked him to reconsider...unless he banned all golfers who didn't follow the Rules of Golf. I got him to acknowledge that every amateur probably violates at least one rule on every hole! He relented, and now that customer is enjoying his club, walking the course, maintaining his health, and handing money to the golf course every time he plays. I just don't understand why a golf course would turn down money!

I've been using the Divnick club for probably 15 years. I carry a driver and a putter with the Divnick. Doesn't do well as a putter or a driver. I do best with the 5,7,9 settings. The great thing about the club is that you can put it in your suitcase when you travel. Plus, I had Divnick make a collapsible putter and a driver. I sent him the club heads for the two. So I can have the three clubs in my suitcase. At the end of the video, it shows him trying to collapse the club. You have the hold the club head and hit the top of the shaft on concrete. It also loosens up and will twist after a few strokes. Collapse the club and expand it again to make sure it's not loose.

The rule used to state the adjustable clubs are banned even if they are not adjusted during play because the possibility to make adjustments is there. Now they can stop carrying a bag or a handful of clubs. Just a single club in one hand and a beer in the other. Plus there's the novelty 'gadget' factor. A great way to attract the casual audience.

Good review. I've often thought about getting one. I have an ancient adjustable club. It's called the Miracle club. I also have the Walkin' Stick Club that is adjustable 6-8 iron. I'm surprised you actually liked this. You kinda acted like you didn't but, it showed on your face that you enjoyed that round👍

@joesmith389 5 лет назад
Shafts are actually pretty complex items (kick points, stiffness/flex, torque, etc). Even a slight variation would mean the shaft would perform completely different. You’d have a different kick point for every club. There’s no real way it’d work.
@stpbasss3773

I have had one of these for a few years now and traveled all over with it. It goes in your check in luggage and great for a quick nine. Not ideal on par fives but excellent for par threes and executive nines. It is really easy to store in the bag too! I keep it under my car seat and often take it out even though I may have my full set with me. The litter takes some practice but that what hotels are for.

Just came across this video Rick, i have owned one of these divnick clubs for over 20yrs, and its still in great condition. I've not used it too much for sure, but i have travelled with it. You can adjust the lofts by 1/2 clubs by moving the head quickly away and then towards you, so you can fine tune your driver angle or a 7.5 iron, whatever you like. good vid.

Shaun East,i just bought the club and had a pleasant time with it. Just trying to adjust the club during my 5-6 rounds was the problem,took time. Going to test your advice though! Clearly RS didn,t read the instructions how to make the club into the short lenght. You have to do it on concrete,hard !

@stevedivnick
@stevedivnick 3 года назад
We have thousands of these clubs around the world and guarantee them for life. If they ever break, we will replace them free. We have many in the military who use them for target golf off rocky terrain. You can see pictures of this and reports about their durability on www.DivnickGolf.com. Check out the guarantee link. We even replaced one that a customer backed over in his car after leaving it leaning against trunk. Our philosophy is that taking care of customers will lead to more sales, so we don’t charge for shop-rate repairs or replacements.
