I was listening today to an Arab woman living in Israel. She has survived a car bombing which occurred when the car we was riding in had Israeli tags. The, of course 10/7, when a man at the kibuttzim identified himself as an Arab, but was brutally murdered anyway. The daily rocket attacks had been frightening, but now for the first time she was feeling a hatred of her own people. The oppression of the Palestinians has been terribly real for many--for most. And equally frightening for as many years for Jews within reach. The Americans seem firm about the 2-state solution. I am curious whether you think it will be a path to peace. I WISH there could be one country with one constitution. Aside from a torturous death, the Jews fear their blood might become less than 100% Jewish. And the Palestinians are sworn to kill every "dirty Jew." Any thoughts? (I confess I was attracted to your name. Jozette was the name I had chosen for both my babies...but...they were both boys.)

Golan Shlomi Yes I agree with you, Rodman is an idiot Jimmy Carter, underneath it all, I think, is a decent man. So he wasn't a great president, but he didn't impose his religion on us, and for that alone, I can respect the man. Now I would like to ask you a serious question and in return I would like a serious response. If there is one book that you think I should read, what book would it be and who is the author. A book that Golan Shlomi has read and thought, this is a good book. If you do not want to, I understand, I said a couple things to you that I really regret now. You CANNOT convince people Israelis are compassionate whilst seemingly being unaware that your post is racist and hate filled. Can you see how little effect it has? I admire Max so much for his honesty and his concerns for all human beings regardless of their race, religion, income, or sexual orientation! The fact that he is a Jewish man who fights for the rights and dignity of the Palestinian people just speaks volumes to the kind of human being he is and he immediately won me over as a fan of his when I first heard him talked! In this brutal world where there are people who think they have the right to destroy others based on their race or religion, Max is above all that and treats all people the same regardless of their race or religion. The content of their character is all that matters to him. He is truly a beautiful human being!

The prime minister of turkey is Recep Erdogan, note that it is pronounced Re-J-ep (with a j) Erdo-an (no g). The C in turkish is a J, the g with the little line over the top is not pronounced. I was in turkey when the flotilla raid happened, I remember the reaction of the people there, it was a lot of sadness and mourning and quiet disbelief. There was also some anger expressed at strategic points, a turkish basketball team refused to play the israeli team, and also, I remember people musing that israeli tourists in turkey were extremely nervous and they thought that was funny and unnecessary.

erdogan also says that in another generation turkey will have a kurdish majority, and that's a threat. *gasp*! boycott turkey!! turkey should leave kurdistan and cyprus immediately or face boycott

That seems pretty unlikely, and racist. I don't think you really want to compare israel to turkey, because turkey actually gives kurds equal citizenship and does not discriminate in any official way against them, whereas israel has an explicit apartheid system and militarily occupies palestinian territory. As for cyprus, if you would like to uproot an entire population of people based on their ethnicity, because of some historical crime that they are not responsible for, then by all means make that argument loudly. It makes it very clear what type of person you are, I think. I do agree that turkey cracks down harshly on the kurds and over reacts to any provocation by them, I would be all for pressuring them to treat kurds better, to offer them carrots instead of sticks, but of course you have no interest in that, I'm pretty sure.

Turkey dosnt have the Kurds living under military occupation or apartheid, it dosnt expel them from their homes or arrest their children in the middle of the night or bomb their schools and hospitals, it hasn’t ethnically cleansed over a million of them the way your tiny little apartheid state has. All we have to be is empathetic humans for all people who are suppressed by governments & controlled by elites, don't believe that the so called terrorists are worse than those they attack because they have reasons for not wanting to be ruled by people who don't see their human rights. trouble is innocent people get caught up in all this, I have always wished there were no religions, I don't understand why people have to believe their god has their back or that heaven is a real place, can they imagine what it would be like to just be a human & nothing more than a expression of nature, no more important or needed than everything else, we humans have done a awful job of looking after this beautiful planit we have, we exploit, rape & kill & for what?

+Garbonzo69able I am very sorry to tell you, but, I don't see even 1 descent leader anywhere, not in Europe, not in USA, and more...it is very hard to find today a good politicians, there are very few, as Geert Wilders from the Netherlands, former Canada's Stephen Harper, such a righteous human being ) he lost the Job because he was pro Israeli, and because of the Muslims voters, and there are millions and the Jewish community is smal in comparecant...it is such shame, that the good ones are being replaced by stupid airheads as Justin Trudeau, the idiot and the puppet in the hands of the previous old politicians, who were yearning to get their seats back their propaganda was so strong and agressive, they got "tons" of money from supporters of Trudeau, well it is too soon to see what he achieved here, we will see where he is going to which side, left ot right, and now this Donald McDonald..., God only knows what he will do, these are scary times and scary days, you never know what the future will be, how it is going to look, and what tomorrow will bring...........who knows?

Max receives criticism because he does what many on the extreme (left and right) do; he "reports" to support an agenda, not tell an accurate story. And when that is done only half the story, if that much, gets reported--and it is only those parts that support his agenda. And I suppose that is OK, but then do not call yourself a reporter, call yourself what you are--an activist. It is not necessarily that points are inaccurate as much as they are not balanced with context, history, and analogs in other states, not only in the region, but in the rest of the world. He regularly invokes BDS, which is recognized as an activist and extremist organization. Note that BDS does NOT recognize Israel's right to exist, let alone exist as a Jewish state. He also clings to the notion that the BDS movement is gaining momentum, when that is inaccurate.

bman342a you may not like the BDS movement, yea for sure. But it is gaining traction. That’s why the U.S constitution is being violated with these outrageous censorship bill for federal workers. There is always a break between an objective and intent and what is fact. You as most likely of the three ; Israeli/Zionist or American Jew make not like it but that is inconsistent with the reality on the ground. I don’t like Left Wing post modernism on college campuses but as a left winger I will acknowledge and rebut it, even though it conflicts with my political orthodoxy.
