The best ime to ride on Goliath is at night, in the front car, front row..the feeling right before the train unhinges from the lift chain is awesome. U hang there looking down at an abyss
Let me just say, I’ve been scared of rollercoasters for so many years, I’m 16 years old and I rode this, and to my suprise.. It was NOT as scary as I thought it would be. It was actually super fun! If you think you can’t handle this ride, try riding twisted colossus! Or full throttle! If you can handle the drops on those rides, then you can definitely do this one! This ride is the most funnest drop ride in the park! I should have never judged it without riding it first !
the turn at 2:08 is the most intense part believe it or not. You turn for so long for so fast... It's the only ride that ever made me feel like i'm going to black out. my vision half went out on this ride on that turn twice.
I just went on this ride two days ago for the third time. I'm watching this video only to see exactly where the camera is set up. Next time I go I wanna be prepared, cause I swear I always look like an old lady taking a dump in the pictures.
- “Welcome to The Salty Spitoon. How tough are ya?” - “How tough am I? I rode Goliath at SFMM!” - “Yeah, so?” - “And I didn’t scream.” - “Right this way. Sorry to keep you waiting.”
You should go on it, I been on it and it really isn't scary it looks scary but it really isn't the only people say it's scary is because when your like waiting or you see this ride from view it looks really tall💀😂
Smoothest Coaster at the Park, love Goliath. And this was actually my first Big Coaster i went on back in the day. My Dad Made me sit front row and i was pissed at him, but towards the end i was hugging him lol Thanks Dad you got me hooked.
Marjely Doran That’s the worst part. The constant “ticking” sound when you go up raises my anxiety, knowing that you can’t go back. Then when you’re at the top, all you can do is brace yourself.
Literally! The first time I rode this I really started regretting it at that part and I was squeezing my friends hand so hard she probably lost the circulation in her hand because I am not a fan of rollercoasters😂😂
Goliath is a beast! It’s so funny seeing this video where the colors of the ride are so vibrant, the paint is now so worn the colors are basically a pale pink and light teal. Still a wonderful ride! One of my favorites at magic mountain.
AWESOME RIDE, I rode it several times last week. The Helix towards the end of the ride is pretty awesome. I have heard of some people graying out a little on the helix. It is a ride that almost anyone can enjoy.
Hey guys i dont know if its just me but the reason why im mostly scared to ride roller coasters is because i feel like ima bout to fall out if i dont hold on really tight and what is protecting us on this ride?
Same, when I went on hero at flamingo land I didn't put my feet in the slots probably so I had to hold onto the bars for dear life! I dread what would have happened if I didn't:-(
Teddy Bear The hero ride sucks in general, I'm not afraid of rollercoasters, I love them but when I go to flamingo land Hero is the one that scares me the most, because you just feel really loose D:
I went on this as a kid right around when this was recorded! I was extremely terrified, especially during that climb up, but I had a blast and even went on it a second time!
My second favorite ride. It's smooth, thrilling, exciting, and pulls off a couple G's. First ride I went to the first time at this park. Awesome drop though there aren't negative G's. Comfortable seat and lap bar, epic turns, epic views, and the theming is great. Though with all these qualities, this is my silver and Full Throttle is my gold. OMG I hope to come back here in the spring.
I remember when I rode this ride for the first time, I was so scared, and felt like the rollercoaster was going higher with clanking noise, and then it stopped , and my heart dropped, but when the 2nd drop came, it was actually fun
Exiting that mid-course brake run in the front into that sharp backed turn at like no does is down right scary for those few seconds. LOVE this time, it's my favorite hyper coaster.
Oh man it looks scarier than it is, it’s such a smooth ride and super fast so it doesn’t make you feel the drops as scary and you’d think.. but you do get that feeling of not being able to control your body do to the ride.. this is amazing the only rough part is when they stop you at the end
I only been on this once, and only because the line was so long. That first drop had been the very first biggest drop on any ride i had ever been on. And i just thought it was never going to end, best feeling ever. haha such a great ride!
In November of last year, i went with my friends for the first time in 3 or 4 years. i had 0 recollection of any rides from six flags, and they told me Goliath was the perfect easy starter. long story short, that was the first time i ever blacked out on a ride :)
OMG hands down the scariest ride, I was actually scared and this was just a video of it lol. It had to be the tallest ride with that super steep drop, and the way it just hung there for a second. Then it zooms around and then halfway through, it stops for a little while right before an inversion that looks like it's about to tip everyone out of the carriage!! And THEN it actually skates along the GROUND for a few seconds, never seen this sort of design before, it looked AWESOME,
It held the record for the tallest drop when it first opened, but that record's been broken many times since (including ties, this holds 10th place for that record now).
The drop curved over itself, you couldn't see the bottom till you passed the curve, to me that's pretty steep. And if a ride leans you sideways til you feel you're hanging out to me that's a partial inversion. So, if it's not it's not, then whatever
This is one of my favorite Magic Mountain rides. The intro, as you get toward the first drop is totally unnerving. The drop, itself, is exhilarating!! The second part of the ride is a different kind of insane. Oddly enough, I got kind of queasy on that part the last two times I rode it. Still, a great super coaster.
I remember last year i went on this at night during the fright nights and was scared half to death. The first drop (main drop) was like you were off the tracks, and it went by so fast. The rest of the ride was really enjoyable ☺ also recommend Twisted Colossus!
I was soooo afraid of roller coasters but honestly when you put your fear to the side it isn’t that bad tbh, had a great time at six flags! I enjoyed all the roller coasters, for anybody who’s super scared of roller coasters you will be okay!
This was a little girls first roller coaster and she loved it. I cant even sit here watching it on a phone without my heart pounding and breathing stopping
I’d been wanting to ride Goliath for quite sometime. It was a great feeling because I felt like it was saying, “I’ve been waiting for you Anthony.” Awesome roller coaster 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
