Goma Dofu Recipe (Refreshing Sesame Tofu with Real Kuzu Starch) | Cooking with Dog

We are making Goma Dofu, sesame tofu made from real kuzu starch and sesame paste. The combination of the sesame flavor and gooey kuzu texture is so delicious.
How to make Goma Dofu
cookingwithdog...
(4 people) Cook Time: 15 minutes
* Chilling to goma dofu in the fridge is not included in cook time.
500ml Water (2.1 cups)
50g Kudzu Starch (1¾ oz)
100g Sesame Paste (3½ oz)
A sprinkle of Salt
* 1 tablespoon (tbsp) = 15 ml, 1 teaspoon (tsp) = 5 ml

yes. though this recipe does't contain any soy milk, it is called goma dofu (tofu) in japan. you know about tofu well! -francis

I never knew I can make Goma Tofu at home. My 85-yr old father in Japan loves Goma Tofu and once we went all the way to Kyoto to buy famous Goma tofu. And I never knew it does not have any actual tofu. I can sure challenge this recipe in the USA where I live. Thank you so much. And you are so handsome!!!

Ah, thank you so much, Kohama-san! It was good to see a bit from CWD, even if someone else did the cooking this time. My mom doesn't like tofu, so it's a battle every time I want to make it or cook with it, but I'm definitely going to this time! XD
