Gondomar es una localidad y municipio español, situado en el suroeste de la provincia de Pontevedra, en la comunidad autónoma de Galicia.
Se encuentra situado en el hermoso entorno natural del Val Miñor, entre la Sierra de O Galiñeiro y la ribera del río Miñor. La cercanía a Vigo y a las playas de Nigrán y Bayona y su excelente clima lo convierten en un lugar perfecto para disfrutar de unas tranquilas vacaciones en este fértil valle. Según el padrón de 2005, su población es de 12.685 habitantes.
El municipio de Gondomar es rico en yacimientos arqueológicos. Del paleolítico han aparecido en Chan do Cereixo más de 200 útiles de cuarcita tallada. Dólmenes como el de Chaín, petroglifos podomorfos y naviculares como el de Pedra Moura y Castros como el de Xián nos indican que estas ricas tierras han sido testigos de asentamientos desde épocas remotas.

The municipality of Gondomar is rich in archaeological deposits.At Chan do Cereixo have appeared than 200 quartzite equipment carved of the paleolitic. Podomorfic dolmenes like the one of Chaín, petroglifos and Castros as the one of Pedra Moura and as the one of Xián indicates to us that these rich earth have been witnesses of establishments from remote times.
