I visited Traquair house as a kid and have this very vivid memory of sitting in a room telling this old woman that i was a Maxwell, and her telling me that she was as well, I'm not sure, but she might have owned the place . It's definitely now on my fishing bucket list.

Hi, I was using Hardy ultralite nsx rod, 13'6 #8/9 with initially a floating shooting head which I changed later to a Hardy Rocket intermediate head with 15' intermediate leader and a 5' fast sink polyleader.
I remember a day just like that on the Coquet when i first got into fly fishing, never seen so many Salmon showing, water a perfect level, did i catch, did i b*****s, by the time i left the river i didn't know if it was shrove tuesday or good friday, my head was a shed with the frustration. On the plus side everyone i spoke to that day had nothing either.
She has a bit of life yet for an old lady. I've been double handed casting for 2 years. Initially I had a lesson with a local fishing guide, then I worked the rest out with a few pointers from the odd gillie along the way. I also had some quite helpful suggestions from viewers of the videos which probably helped to hasten my progress. That being said RU-vid makes me look like a far better caster than I actually am.
