As a Rockbridge County native I never thought I would click on a youtube video and hear. "This morning Im in one of my most favorite places on the planet. Goshen Pass in Rockbridge county Va." I have fished all up and down that pass. Never hunted that side of the county. Was always closer to Amherst Co for hunting. You Mr. Dixon have not a good camp but an awesome camp. But if you are going to be living in it for 2 months out of the year then it should be awesome. Thank you for the video, the smile it put on my face and the memories it brought back.

No disrespect, but this is a hotel room somewhere other than town, its nice, no question, but I have never camped in this fashion...and my budget would not allow,,, usualy its me and a buddy, throw a waterproof plastic on the ground and build a fire..... but hey I am up to anything...

I don't get the comments saying he should just get a cabin or RV, already; they're all missing the point. This gentleman clearly didn't _want_ a rigid structure, he wanted to camp. They're different experiences. And this one also lets him change location to anywhere he likes, whenever he likes (something that neither cabins, nor even RVs, are exactly known for). It's a glorious camp. It's a camp he's rightly proud of. A camp he's clearly put years of effort, + invested tremendous amounts of revenue, into. It's unquestionably the most luxurious camp I have personally ever seen. But he's still sleeping under soft roofing, not solid, which makes it still camping. As a committed tent camper, this is absolutely aspirational. I'm envious of whomever the second cot is for. 😃

Uhhhh, probably $50,000 in gear. Just build a cabin.

I love the wood stove and water tank setup, as well as the home made kitchen. I take that you tow the 4 wheeler and the log splitter. That makes the mobility significantly reduced but you also saved lots of time and effort handling firewood.
