I'm the girl with the green eyes at end. I am so grateful I held on! "There's always a way out, always" 20 years later, I had to fight to hold on it wasn't always an easy road. I had to travel the long winding road of CPTSD but I am here and I am amazing! I love my life and the fight was so worth it! I have the most beautiful family and I am happy

I'm happy for your happiness. You persevered. That is incredible. I still hold this song to this day that things will get better. But for me, it has always been a struggle. I hold truth to this song. It's always been a struggle for me with what I've been through in my life. I don't know if it will truly ever get better. But thank you for sharing your struggles.

Thank you for sharing this update with us 💕 I remember my 7th grade teacher playing this for the class so many years ago. It was during a time where my own struggles were just surfacing and it's been a long road since. It hasn't been easy but like you, I am SO glad that I've held on. I have the most beautiful life now, with so many loved ones and I have felt the impact that I've made in other people's lives. Would have missed this all. To those still struggling, you can do this. You're not alone, and you're more resilient than you know. Beauty permeates through life - give yourself the chance to find it. You can do it 💕

6 years ago I put my .45 to my head and pulled the trigger, when I heard the click this song came on. And I swore to myself I would never do anything crazy like that again. Life still sucks but that's life. I was blessed to have my amazing son and I'm so thankful that that gun misfired that day. So many great bands helped me through my depression and I'm so grateful for them. I want to say thank you to Good Charlotte for making amazing music that has touched my soul and saved my life. To those who are suffering from addiction, abuse, depression, and so many other issues keep your head up it does get better. Don't be afraid to talk to someone and vent. Your life is worth it. - One love💞

Hello sweetheart. You are not alone, there are lots of people in the world who are constantly bombarded with suicidal thoughts by their rebel brain... I got diagnosed with bipolar disorder 18 years ago (I am 37), but my most common stage is being "low key" (depression). I take my meds and all, but that does not make these feelings and suicidal thoughts dissapear completely. Seeing that this has been a constant in my adult life, I have a piece of advice for you: After I read the AMAZING book "The Power of Now", by Eckhart Tolle, there was a sentence that struck me like a bolt of lightning: YOU ARE NOT YOUR MIND. There is nothing we can do to stop the flow of crazy thoughts our mind and subconscious produces... what we CAN do is to distance ourselves from those thougts, to see them from the outside, and to work in learning that our mind is not there to control us, but THE OTHER WAY AROUND. I have come to accept my mind´s crazy ideas of me not being worthy (and others far worse than that), and now I see them as the thing fans yell at baketball/soccer/baseball, etc (pick your sport) when they are playing. Imagine if sportspeople concentrated on those messages more than in their game???? They would lose all of them!! I have decided to concentrate on my game, on my positive aspects and my personal goals... If my mind wants to keep on screaming shit at me... It is my job to ignore it and to remind it who the boss is!!! I wish you the best, hope this helps! I would like to hear from you! jaquematecrc@gmail.com Greetings from Costa Rica!!!

My mom passed when i was 15 from her addiction and to this day this song still gets me through my roughest patches through life, it's carried on through me for 11 years, but i'm proud to say after many years of pain, i've finally found myself, and i'm so happy that I lived through each attempt. so thank you.

I'm 23, in my early teen years I was a dam right mess. Homeless, depression in overdrive, suicidal, self harmed and all that bullshit. I'm not being an "attention seeker" but no matter how low you get in life there's always something worth living and fighting for. It's songs like that have helped me and countless others. Since 15 I ALWAYS listen to these guys when I need a lift in life, rock on Good Charlotte and keep helping people with your music

That was very inspiring! Keep telling your testimony and help others that are struggling with a loved one who commited suicide and the ones who are planning or thinking about suicide. I struggle with depression and occasinal thoughts but I know I have the love of my life and my family and I know they would be devastated and my wife she would be really messed up if I died. I attempted suicide at least two times within a year by hanging myself and I'm glad I didn't die.

This world, this world is cold But you don't, you don't have to go You're feeling sad, you're feeling lonely And no one seems to care Your mother's gone and your father hits you This pain you cannot bear But we all bleed the same way as you do And we all have the same things to go through Hold on, if you feel like letting go Hold on, it gets better than you know Your days, you say they're way too long And your nights, you can't sleep at all Hold on And you're not sure what you're waiting for But you don't want to know more You're not sure what you're looking for But you don't want to know more But we all bleed the same way as you do And we all have the same things to go through Hold on, if you feel like letting go Hold on, it gets better than you know Don't stop looking, you're one step closer Don't stop searching, it's not over Hold on What are you looking for? What are you waiting for? Do you know what you're doing to me? Go ahead What are you waiting for? Hold on, if you feel like letting go Hold on, it gets better than you know Don't stop looking, you're one step closer Don't stop searching, it's not over Hold on, if you feel like letting go Hold on, it gets better than you know Hold on

Words can't explain how this song made me feel. Those of you who are suffering. I know it seems that you have no hope left and you can't get through this but it will get better. Before you scroll past this comment, please read the rest. you've probably heard that before but let me explain. okay so think about the day you were born to now.A lot has changed, right? my point is the moment you are in right now won't last forever, your life isn't going to be like this forever, it will change, right now it might feel like there is this huge wall in front of you and you can't get past it, but if you keep on pushing it, it will fall. Tear down the wall and you will see your bright future. What I mean by that is you will overcome this horrible time in your life if you don't give up. Hold on, you will thank yourself later ~

I have not listened to this song for SO many years. I certainly am glad it was around in my teens because I really needed it then. But I feel like I needed it now. Which is frustrating to a degree cause I feel like I've tried so hard to work on my mental health. But lately things have gotten kind of intense, like the weight of depression, anxiety and emotions is SO heavy. And while its SO draining, I'm hoping for it to turn around soon, so I dont have to sit in this state for longer than I must to ride it out. But I feel like I'd be failing myself if I ended my life, without having a chance to try and make it out of this mental crap. But I truly am glad I watched this video and listened to this song again 💝 always reminders to keep going 🙏

When you feel like things are at their worst, then that means things can only get better. It'll be okay. Even if it doesn't seem like it right now, it'll be okay. You just have to hold on. You just have to live. You're not alone.

Listening to Good Charlotte in 2020 blast from the past. I can't even begin to describe how lost I was when this album came out. This song helped me so much. ❤

I didn't understand this song when I needed it. I didn't understand this song when I wanted to take my life at the age of 16. I listened to this so very many times, and I never understood what I was listened to. All I knew is hoe much I loved it, regardless of how much my happy friends disliked it. Now that I'm 30, instead of 16, I understand this song so, so very well. I wish I understood this song when, mentally, I needed it the most. When I was lacking support, and anyone who understood what I was feeling. At 30, I'm so very happy that I have the support systems that I have at this point in my life, and I'm so happy that the cry that I get to enjoy listening to this song now exists. I'm so happy that I get to cry right now, and it's so painful that this happiness exists. Sometimes I wish I was dead, but hearing songs like this one reminds me that I have so much left to see. Thank you, 2002 Good Charlotte. I will never forget this song. I will never forget the life that I now cherish, unknowingly influenced by a song that I didn't understand until it was, unfortunately, too late. I hope more people find this song before it is... unfortunately, too late.

My kids lost their stepdad and I lost my love 23 years ago. The grief remains. I wish he'd heard this song.
