Hello , I’m so very appreciative of this presentation. I started teaching my Tai chi teacher yesterday how to play congas. His innate neuro motor connections over the many years allowed him to catch on quickly,however your simple clear advice will assist him greatly as well as assist me to get rid of some bad habits during the course of our lessons.I really laughed at that painful example you gave of one of your instructors. I too had some terrible technique 35 years ago and ,yes I damaged my ulnar nerve. Scary. 8 months of numbness in my non dominant left hand. Thanks again Richie Bada bing bada boom Bono

Hi, such great lessons you provide. I have always loved the sound and finally bought my first Conga drums second hand. Mine sound low and hollow, and not tight and sharp like yours. How do I know it is tuned right?

Hey Kevin - liked and subscribed! Thanks for the intro to conga sounds. Just picked up a pair of mini congas. I've always loved drumming, but never had congas before. Anything different about the mini congas that I should be aware of compared to the larger congas? TIA! JR

If they are like the LP Junior Congas, then I have only played them a few times and found that a technique like how Eddie Montalvo or Candido (RIP) play. It's like in between bongo technique and conga technique.
