I have nothing but respect for how down to earth and humble you are I started trying to learn how to produce music a week ago so I really appreciate videos like this... thank you
@@Homieonice depends, it took me a few months until I really got a grip on everything and I was comfortable and happy making music on my own. It doesn't take a long time to learn how to produce it takes a long time to master it though
If you want more of this kind of stuff, most of the old Genius Deconstructed videos are still up. Also, the Rhythm Roulette and Tracklib Sample Breakdowns are gold too.
fr. i bought a whole as macbook and daw because of those videos 😂 i worked at a pizza place for a year to save up damn near. still cookin up, still not the best, but man i got the right intentions. never used loops. trust the process
Sound Design tutorials are your best friend!!! I'd recommend learning how to sculpt your sounds yourself so you don't need to rely on others' Sound Packs / Preset Banks and you can just cook all the way through. Saves money, and is worth the time to learn because you can make your own preset banks and have a good way to sculpt things right then and there in case you're in a Studio Session w someone. I am lowkey glad I was too broke to get Kontakt/Omni and I was too shy to (Arr matey 🏴☠) them, so lil by lil I learned some Sound Design stuff from Venus Theory and other youtube channels to get ideas for how to sculpt sounds to convey the world in my imagination. The Process IS The Progress 💫@@jrc3394
So glad a young goat in hip-hop production digging in the crates still, hope it inspires more. There are a lot of beatmakers and shoutouts all them but it's only one Metro.
For those who want to find the sample, it’s by Ferrante and Teicher - It’s Too Late, cover of the legend Carole King. Fun fact: he had the record next to him around (0:15) UPDATE: The drum break he used is “Beats Out of the Frame” from the drumbreak compilation: Funky Drummer, Vol 1 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5Gw-iC4An_k.htmlsi=PY4Wq_4rtZ3kGjWI
Producers, we need you. You see how bored people are even with the so called "biggest" projects? That shows you how much fans desire somebody fresh and new. Make it happen. Good luck
I just watched the symphony orchestra performance and then watched the Spiderman movie, the music was unreal.... you are one of my favorite producers! The sounds you create just take you somewhere outta space! Very inspired!
Savage mode was literally all I bumped on the bus at 17 omw home from school everyday. Inspired me to get fl studio one day and start cooking. Literally would've had a completely different life if it wasn't for that tape.
@@deebaker4671 that KO 2 thing just has an aesthetic. i mean, fair point, teenage engineering is sort of famous for making gimmicky gear, but it's still a totally functional piece of kit.
Out of all these modern producers, Metro is the only one I see that's gonna be genuinely up there with DJ Premiere, Rza, Kanye, Just Blaze and all the other greats.
carole king flip go crazy 🔥🔥🔥 thank you Metro for inspiring producers and artists like me, watched your Redbull symphony performance and started cooking beats and chopping vinyl samples right after on FL studio 🔥🙏🏽🤯
That red bull symphonic performance was crazy bro that sh*t sounded great and it really showed me just how many hits you produced you are truly the goat
Man I would do horrible things for that MPC. I have a MPK mini and FL Studio Producer Edition but I'd rather have an MPC for a DAW. Starting producing a few months ago and I'm 35 lol. A bit late but Idc, music keeps me straight. STL born and raised here, St Charles yo. Keep it up Metro, truly an inspiration.
Been learning how to produce after doing guitar and other instruments for 10 years. since around mid August and now I have my own mpc and it's awesome and I've never looked back.
Brother it’s a flag made out of “boominati”, a play on metro boomin made from “boomin” and “illuminati”. Not everything is a massive conspiracy you absolute weirdos.
To all the underground producers and artists like me.. Wishing you luck every step of the way. Keep grinding and eventually you'll be so good nobody can ignore you any longer. I'll see y'all at the top 💯🚀🔝
Bro working with some legendary equipment. Love to see vinyl instead of "sample packs." It's an adventure going into various record stores in search of that diamond in the rough. Way better than digital digging by far.
Damn, that drum break really did it for me 😂🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Got me ready to cook up something when I get home. I can’t wait to further build out my home studio to make it a fully on vibe in the coming months, I’m ready to create on an even higher level and this video was motivating. Salute 🫡 Metroooo!
same I started on an MPC 1000 then I went to the 2500 and they both went down so I have since been using Ableton but I would love to get a MPC 2500 again soon!
