This strange accent motorbike constable certainly had a robotic and soulless personality. Certainly a rule follower who would do anything to get peoples details - including 'running through' the car details on the national computer looked like a breach of the data protection - not that anything would come from it. What an embarrassment to the police force - outrageous.

Message to all the good cops out there who are puzzled why they are treated with suspicion and distain when all they are doing is helping people? That second cop who was acting like a total asshole and whose entire encounter with the auditor was to try to find something to pin on him. That's why.

I am ex police as you know.there is a reason why the second officer is a solo rider.The way he tries to get you for any offence he can because of his personal feelings on auditors is not the attitude that would encourage other officers to work with him. I would work with pc Chris all year but if I was paired up with the other officer, I would let him know why I will not work with him in no uncertain terms as he is not the greatest ambassador for the police and public relations. You might be interested what some officers called solo riders in the Met “Black rats” (Nothing to do with race).

It's debatable that sec 163 of the RTA would apply here as the constable clearly stated that the car park was private, and therefore the public did not have access. Plus the premises were actually closed at the time. There is specific case law that states a premises's car park is public and covered by the RTA only when the property is open, but not when it was closed. I'm so glad that Kevin had business insurance on his vehicle, as otherwise he may well have faced a court battle on this contentious issue. Well done Kevin for staying calm, composed and professional throughout. You are a credit to auditing sir.

That second cop was being a complete asshole. He was looking for anything possible to charge you with. Everything you said was being scrutinized for a "gotcha" to arrest you. I think you were lucky he couldn't find anything.

I recall the public order training sessions at RAF Cosford. We were regularly firebombed directly by an 'angry crowd' who would routinely throw molotov cocktails at us, inside and around a huge former RAF hanger. It was great fun, and soon got the adrenaline flowing. Much of the shield and cordon/ column training etc centred loosely around the methods used by the Roman centurions back in the day. 'Defensive columns form', is a phrase that many former police officers will never forget, as it was drilled into us from day dot of public order training. Great audit and good to see another forces facilities. 👍

well i was going to give this video a thumbs up until the other copper on the bike turned up who just couldn't seem to help himself. full of assumptions and hostility. i mean,the question about where he was from your just trying to be friendly as it was a curious accent which i did think was australian. sheesh why be like that. though not sure chris's conversation was totally pure in the respect that yes he was very polite and accomodating but he had obviously during his radio calls asked the other officer to come down and to which the question for me would be why did he feel he needed backup to just have a conversation with someone.

Hi A Y, this one starts off well enough, the police van you mention that stopped for a bit on the way out, stayed there for a bit and then jogged on was doing exactly what they should do!, no more no less!, they have every good reason to observe you if that is what they didd, having done that they had no cause to disturb you. Then at eight minutes the man comes out and tells you that you are not allowed to film there because it is private, he obviously does not understand the rules on public access to private property and the implied permission that comes with open gates etc. Open access includes freedom for photography. The fellow seems decent enough if mis-informed and it is good of him to explain some things that would not otherwise be obvious, what he says does fit with the creeping privatisation of our public services, that his employers not only own and manage the site but also rent space to the police who can then just get on with police work. This seems to me to be creating an interesting issue with the public rights to access to public services, it is already very clear that places like job centres are open to the public in spite of being in buildings that are owned by private companies.
