I've tried about 4 of your recipes these past 2 weeks and my family LOVED them. It's a miracle to get our 3 small children to not be picky. I can never please them all. But every one of your recipes has delighted all my kids and my husband! Thank you for showing me how to make healthy, yet wholesome and satisfying meals. It's just what I was looking for!

Wow, your simple, creative meals are so inspiring! Unlike traditional pot pie, the bread crumb pot pie actually looks doable. And the yogurt bark will be such an easy, yummy treat for this pregnant mama. 😋

I need to find delicate squash! I want to try that recipe! But….please tell me you didn’t toss out those beautiful turnip greens!!! One of my favorite things in the whole world! SO yummy! I would dehydrate the carrot tops too…..but I dehydrate everything! Lovely food! Your Momma taught you well!❤

@@healthyelizabeth Dehydrating is fantastic! I’m saving so many fresh veggies through dehydrating and I will be using them through the winter! I even dehydrate frozen veggies….that way I won’t have to do without them if the SHTF….I’m prepared and ready with as much dehydrated organic veggies as possible! I may be crazy, but we will eat even if the grocery stores close down! Always dehydrate what you can’t/don’t use….it’s totally worth the time and cost….I’m planning on getting a bigger dehydrator. I’d love to have a freeze dryer but hubs thinks that’s not economically worth it…..it is but he’s a man….🤣😂🤣 I’m cooking chicken right now to dehydrate and will also dehydrate the broth to use as bouillon….It’s so little effort for so much gain!!

Save the seeds from those squashes! Take the seeds put them in a bowl of water. Those that sink are the ones you want to save. Wash them off dry them then set them aside on a paper towel for a couple days to dry then put away until spring! Plant them in starter pots then into the ground! You probably already know this 😊

Hello, I’m new to your channel but it seems like health is very important to you. I was curious as to how you treat colds/ flu when they do hit the family and do you do anything as a preventative? I did see you give your kids elderberry. Is there any other helpful tips? Thank you.

I am! I’d say limiting processed sugar because it weakens the immune system, lots of veggies, and elderberry syrup and tincture! It’s really all we ever need😊

@@healthyelizabeth I am very strict on processed sugar with my kids. I cook with grassfed pasture meat, organic produce. I do make homemade elderly but I haven’t been religious about giving it to the kids daily which I can improve there. Im just kinda frustrated because it seems like my kids get sick often and or at least a child that passes it around to the rest of everybody. I have 6 kids. They are ages 12,8,5,4,3,1 and I’m pregnant with number 7. It feels like by time it runs through the house that someone picks up something else. I don’t cook with processed oils. We don’t eat frozen boxes processed foods. We do treat the kids to hamburgers or pizza once a week as a treat but outside of that it’s very much ground to table food. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️ what can I do?

I made your chicken stew last night! It was amazing! I did a bread reserve this evening as well. Also, in another video you mentioned getting garlic seed, you can use the garlic you personally get from the farmers market and save a few heads and plant them in the Fall! 😊

Can you do a video on getting started eating more healthier? What are the things you should start weaning out first and things like that. I'm trying to feed my family healthier but the cost of organic foods is so expensive for my budget. I am learning new things everyday about the food I feed my family and I feel terrible for feeding my family these things and myself. We live 3 hours away from a Costco and our grocery store in town seems to double the price for anything organic. I started buying organic spaghetti from target because I read that the spaghetti I have been buying is not even "real". Ughith! Lol! Also homemade pizza recipes please and thank you for all you do.

They look lovely and your kitchen style is so fresh and simple which I adore 🥰 I would love to prepare some of your dishes that have dairy in them. I sadly can’t have dairy as of recently. Learning to cook without dairy is the pits; like learning how to cook all over again. All the while, keeping dishes healthy. I make chicken pot pie a lot, I haven't tired it with root veggies. I tend to add unconventional things like spinach, pearl onions and butternut squash. We love chicken pot pie so much. I loved the idea of the sourdough bread crumbs though, I will try that. I enjoy that kind of texture a lot. Thanks for sharing!!!
