How did humanity ever make it this far without class consciousness? If humanity went back to hunter gatherers would these people still expect others to get their food for them? Thats all jobs really are, we have traded in using energy to make shelter, get food, whatever physical aspect was needed. Instead of plowing a field and hunting we sit at a desk or swing a hammer. Its just a trade off. Ppl need to do something.

Hey - this is the guy who read this. My name's Ricky. I can't get to my PC right now, so I'm writing from my other account. I really think you missed the point of this article. There is nothing here that is "anti-work" - only a description of constantly feeling out of place in society. I came from a family where most of the males had at some point died in various coal mines and now I run a successful kitchen in another country - working over 70 hours a week. These are - on the surface - both just exploitative working-class jobs; but every day that I have to go to work, and talk to other people that I work with or serve, I feel like such a fucking fraud. I didn't even train for this profession and now I boss around ten other people? How DARE I live in one of the richest cities in the world and make this fuckin bourgeoise food. Every positive compliment or review I get just makes this feeling worse. I'm well aware that social forces have always existed - I'm also aware that despotism or the the feudal system was fucking shit - so I think that argument is worth as much as a boiled turd on a hot day. Again, I'm not anti-production so either make a good argument or take off your clothes and get the twister-mat
