The striker kicks my head from behind and didn’t even get called for a foul or card. Is there a different way to get a ball like that or did I do it correctly and the ref let me down?

Hey! I forgot to get back to you. Sadly we got 2nd. i got 5 cleansheets in the tournament and conceded 1 in the final but then i got too tired and they subbed me off. The other goalkeeper ended up conceding 2 goals so we lost 2-3 from a 2-1 lead. Still had fun though! Im glad your videos helped me with the tournament and i gained more confidence. I saved a top corner penalty 2 free kicks a header from a corner i intercepted 6 corners and saved 2 tap ins. I got motm in our 4th match as well! I cant believe i went from playing with gardening gloves to this! I wish you the best in life and with your channel. Thank you for helping me gain the confidence to go out during a corner. Thank you for giving me the confidence to rush out on a 1v1. I will surely recommend your channel to the sub gk.

How do I get over my fear of getting hit in the face with a ball during 1v1s?? It happened to me when I was younger and ever since I’ve been always scared and hesitant to get into 1v1s.

Maybe try training with a foam ball to get over the fear and as confidence increases, use a normal ball. Boxing also is a solution to this problem.

It's down to both technique and power. I will always say to develop the power mainly as that way whatever technique works for you, you will get good distance on the ball

I don’t think you should constantly dive, as you can move feet since you can keep up with the pace of the ball for a couple of steps and claim the ball instead of parrying it.

There's been a massive huge misunderstanding! Why would someone dive when they can make it easier for themselves and shuffle to the ball, it doesn't make sense? When I say dive constantly I obviously meant for the shots you obviously need to dive to, not the shots which you can shuffle and catch. I hope this clears things up.

Remain confident and have confidence in your own ability. Try to sharpen your technique a little bit after you return from a break next time.

But the problem with my gloves they don’t have grip at all so I just punch the ball out but normal catches I try to catch it but for dives I punch it because when I try to catch it it will just go threw my hands do you think you have any tips for a gk WHOS gloves have no grip

Water your gloves but also work on your handling ability since that will improve your catching

Ooo that's a good question? In Polish keeper or away aren't exactly quick or right. Would probably say mine or clear because 'yours' is very direct to a person and won't work when shouting to a collective of people

Well then look at the ball because you are clearly a passive 1v1 goalkeeper. An aggressive gk doesn't have to look at the ball in a 1v1 due to getting at the attackers without them having that opportunity to shoot. There's nothing wrong with being a passive 1v1 gk but you must do things aggressive gks don't and vice versa
