I have been watching hundreds of videos about the grip but yours is the top of the top. Moreover your explanation how the grip affects the club face A+++
Please produce more videos. I wonder why there are not many ladies professional golfers in thailand make these kind of good golf lessons same as you. When you have tournaments in thailand, I will follow you 🙏🏻
Hi Michele! I am a 14 years old girl who loves to play golf! My dream is to play at LPGA one day! Thank you for your amazing video! I am practicing on my golf with your videos☺️
ABSOLUTE GENIUS Michele .... i just have to say it ... and this will be added for EVERY golfer in Iceland to see .... keep it up like this .... explaining the "why's" and such is the magic ... well done ... extremely well done ;)))))
I watched countless videos on the grip over the years. That said, I thought the extra tips Michele gave on placement of club vis a vis left and right hands and fingers and using cues were fantastic. And not something I have heard before. Thanks Michele
Superb visual instruction showing the effects of each grip choice. This explains most clearly the effect on the club face of strong, weak and neutral grips. Thank you Michele!
The grip has always been my peeve ! having read countless books and watched videos....find your 5-6 minute Ep more relatable and practical .....going to try it morrow in the course.
Good video Michele. I’m a seasoned golfer, been playing since I was a kid. I use the interlock grip. I found you video a good refresher for me to level set my grip and to remember the basics. Thank you. I enjoy your instruction.
I appreciate how you break down each facet of whatever you are teaching (in this case the grip) to its most basic elements. It's so understandable. You are an excellent teacher! Thanks Michele!
Hello from Bangkok👋 I’m new to golf. Found one of your videos and started watching all of yours since then. The way you teach makes it easy to understand especially for the newby like me. Keep posting! Thanks!
What a GREAT INSTRUCTOR! I just took your advice on the grip and immediately went outside and hit 5 balls into my hitting net. The first one went left then the last four dead straight to the middle of the target! You just changed my grip in your video in 7 min. Something I haven't been able to do in 11 years! your AWESOME!!!
Tnx again Michele! As a seasoned golfer, I particularly like the check for the right hand. As before your method of instruction is excellent. Not too complicated and perfect. Keep up the excellent instruction videos. Respectfully, Steve
Another great clip Michele. My grip is terrible, but I am working on it. Now I have a better understanding on how to grip the club correctly and so many different ways to check if I'm setting up incorrectly. I love to watch your videos and try them out at the range. Thank you
I like a ten finger grip. Gives you a better Sense of feel to have all your fingers on the club! Grip is something I found you can sub consciously change with undesirable results. So I like to cross check check for every shot. But despite that it may sometimes go left or right. Thank you! Nice video!
You are spot on most of the time in identifying and addressing real challenges of amateur golfers. I was wrongly gripping (probably too weak), which often resulted in poor impact (head shifting)! Thanks a pile, Pro! Stay well
Fantastic explanation! I’ve seen many videos on golf grip but you really explain the effects of a bad grip very well. This is a definitely a liked video for me. Thanks so much for the lesson
@@michelelowgolf7501 you’re by far the best golf instructor on RU-vid it’s you’re easy to understand instruction that makes worth watching Thank you Michele!
A very easy to follow explanation of the grip. I appreciated the part about the overlap/interlocking/ten finger grip styles...whatever allows you to maintain control of the club and make solid contact! Keep up the good work!
Highly appreciate Pro - you so clearly described & differentiated the grips: Neutral, Weak & Strong. Am I right in saying that "Neutral" should be the most preferred grip? Your valuable advice will be highly appreciated. Thank you, Pro
Hello Michelle, thank you so much for all of your videos. I've learned a lot. Now my daughter starts (13) but she is lefthanded. Can you recommend any videos to learn all these nice things you show? Regards from Germany. Marcella
Great lesson can't wait to change my grip pressure and adjust the face of the club to hit more fairways and stay away from the tree's to the right. LoL
My first departure from Michelle’s instruction is grabbing the club more in the pinky of the left hand, not under the knuckle. Feel like it gives more control and power. Anyone else agree?
Michele, wow thank you for another great video, and despite having seen/read so much on this before, you have managed to give some unique insights. The part where you demonstrate the correct wrist action with the left and the right hands was a light bulb moment for me! Left wrist cocking in a vertical plane, with right wrist folding/cocking on a horizontal plane (if you are standing up straight)...I've struggled for years to stop these wrist action feelings from being conflicted, but I can now see/feel that with a good grip both things are correct and blend/work together. Looking forward to your next video :)
Michele thanks for another great lesson. I use the ten finger grip (baseball grip) and will continue to do so now I have these check points to help me to monitor that I'm not getting lazy or out of position. Thank you. 👍🏌
This could be the best demonstration and reasoning behind hand placement! I have a question about the gap you mention under the lead thumb at 2:26. What is the significance of this gap? Does it achieve anything crucial, or is it simply a by-product of the correct position? Does it have an effect on, for example, the swing/swing style/awareness of the club shaft/face during the swing/ supporting the shaft at transition in 'change-of-direction?' I (5hcp) ask because you are the first person I have heard mentioning it. When I have asked golf coaches, because I was concerned about the gap, they have avoided the question, or tried to get me to close this gap with no reason for why I should do so and it doesn't seem to help! Any insight would be much appreciated.
Hi, Chris. I'm no one of importance in the golf game but I've watched many of Michele's, and others, videos and can, until, hopefully, Michele chimes in, answer your question. The gap she speaks of is about NOT having what is referred to as a, "long thumb." Your thumb being flat, and long, if you will, on top of the shaft, causes numerous problems in the swing - to include, not allowing the wrists to set properly (relative to the club face) at the top of the swing, improper club face positing, promotes outside - in swing path (aka, over the top), casting, etc. Pulling the thumb in, "keeping it short," creates this space you ask of, and allows the wrists to move freely and correctly and, in theory, opposite of all the problems mentioned above. Hope this helps. Understanding you, like me, have questions, I was just sharing things I've watched and/or read. Best wishes to you and yours.
Hi Michelle, good vid by the way. Question, why are some people using strong, neutral and weak. When do you use which grip and what’s the reason for using using strong, weak or neutral if any. Sorry hope my Q makes sense to you. Thanks M you’re really excellent
Very good! I use the 10 finger grip since it feels the most natural as a former baseball player. I tried the interlocking grip and found my pinky fingers beginning to ache, perhaps from arthritis.
Great videos. Question around the wrist hinge, why is it the left wrist hinges vertical while the right wrist hinges horizontal ? i thought both wrists will hinge by moving it vertical up and down?
