I like how everyone is saying that Polyphia and Ichika are the future of guitar, with their edm beats and guitar, but I feel like this is on an entirely new level. Ichika and Polyphia are still doing guitar playing like it's always been for decades, they're just adding beats to it. Here the guitar isn't there to shred people's faces off (even though you are definetely able to), but it's part of a big composition. Amazing! (Edit) After 2 years, I must say I have to change my mind and confess that Polyphia is indeed revolutionising guitarplaying in a way. Also, I was an asshole two years ago who only cared for what he cared for. So my apologies to the phrasing of the previous section

This is UNFUCKINGreal. Ive been quarantined for over a month and have fallen down the wormhole of a new genre for me. Plini, DMM, Sean Ashe, Owane and ofc Jakub. The level of musicianship and creativity and talent of this new generation is AWE inspiring. Seeing this done so up close and live, watching as it happens, its utterly mindblowing!

I'm not a musician from any angle... Just a music lover. Came across this video through my boyfriend who is a musician & I'm soooo truly blessed. Got goosebumps & I don't know how to explain it, it was just sooo calming & uplifting & whatnot.😅 This is on repeat. Especially this part 6:42 Ahh! Eargasm!🥵

I've always wondered what happens if you take a person with a brilliant ability to produce loops in layers in real-time and then pair them with a technically gifted guitar player.
