It was so wonderful to see her concern and compassion for that homeless man, ( especially since I thought that he was walking over to her money to snatch some). What are you taking about? This a deluded comment. This is not a selfless act. She may not have audibly let her small audience of 20 or less people know about her “kind gesture,” but she absolutely put the man on blast. She posted the video online, on multiple personal accounts, where millions upon millions of people saw what she did. It’s absurd, and probably staged. It actually makes me sick that people buy into this crap. If she was selfless, this recording would not have ended up on RU-vid. She obviously had someone record it in the audience, otherwise she wouldn’t be able to link it to her various social media accounts.

There is something called the bystander effect, (i just learned of it in psych, so apologiesif i butcher this) the effect happens when a group of people, or a crowded area witness someone who is in a real struggle. In the minds of these people the sense of responsibility a person has to help the person in the struggle is decreased, usually believing others will come to help. If someone specifically is asked to help that sense of responsibility grows.

It is also spirited with the actual depravity of morals and ethics in the society we live in today, happy learning.

This is a world of competition and just because you take the necessary steps doesn't mean you'll make it. Starting a business or working up in an already established business is usually how people become rich without family ties. But starting a business takes a lot of up front money not everyone has. And working up means limited positions available the higher you go, and if they are taken, then you're just shit out of luck. Not to mention the immense competition. Lastly, people can get rich with investments, and that basically gambling and can be up to luck, like if a hurricane blows through or how we all saw a pandemic strike the world crashing economies. So what are the "necessary steps" that can make us all rich? Sounds like you're saying people aren't rich because they don't work hard enough when you said "you sit back and wish to be rich". I know hundreds of examples that disprove that. The world is full of people that break their backs everyday and never make it out of poverty. Usually people aren't rich because they worked hard, usually it's because they exploited other people to do the break breaking work they didn't want do to make them the profits or they were born into a situation that gave them opportunities others didn't have

I live in harrogate North yorkshire, i saw a Rolls royce Black badge Cullian roughly £340,000 of car and opposite on the street there was a homeless girl by her self, i dont know when or why humans compete so much to live 80 years on this planet , i dont understand why we have to be so cruel and charge the prices we do for pure greed , nobody should have to rout around a rubbish bin for food

I love these types of stories and if I saw somebody digging food outta the trash can I would either give him/her money for fresh or I would go buy then a fresh meal(depending on if I had cash on me, holiday shopping I dont carry much cash for fear of getting robbed but try to keep @$20 on me)

People usually look for bottles to return in the garbage. Or now they look for scratch off tickets to try and get the second chance to win. We had a guy win 500 in my town by finding a thrown out scratch off and now he is constantly looking for them. (And he's not homeless either)I'm not saying she should not help the guy I would of helped him too. . But she probably just assumed he was getting food. Never seen anyone do that before and I'm in a pretty populated area for homeless people. They just take the food from stores if they can't buy it.

It's a difficult one to approach with people because their only focus is on the deed and not the psychology of the giver. Often people will pretend like it was a completely selfless act while simultaneously doing what this girls done, which is to use it as leverage to plug her social media accounts and tour. She then gets to reap the benefits of all the praise she's receiving, meanwhile, the homeless person in the video is still retrieving food out of bins.

The most important thing to me is that she was aware of her environment even when she was performing. She took the time to stop and follow through. The gentleman was also watching the encounter and followed through. We can see and do so much in our community if we just take the time to stay alert, pay attention, and follow our heart with kindness and generosity. Blessings to all three of them.

I've been homeless and know how it feels to be that person. I am now ok and have a roof and my life is better. So... A huge thank you for not turning your back and being a full and kind human being. Of course we are strangers but I'm still proud of you and the hard work it took to change your situation. Millions of Americans are literally one missed paycheck away from being in that same position whether they realize or not. Society as a whole needs a lot more humility and to stop judging folks in that situation. It could happen to any of us.
