Filmed in the woods of Melbourne/Australia and Vienna/Austria, the music video for ’Memories in the Moonlight’ brings a melancholic and nocturnal collaboration between singer & songwriter Jade Alice, Austrian contemporary dance artist Miriam Lechlech and producer/dancer Patrick Gutensohn. Shot at night of the early spring time this year by Australian and Austrian based film makers Thomas Snowden and Alex Zakharov with the aim of visually amplifying the fairytale-like atmosphere and story of the song about past moments reminisance and a distant longing for what might not meant to be.

"When I started working on the idea of ’Memories in the Moonlight’ I knew that I wanted to make a video to it which includes nocturnal dance sequences in the woods. As Jade was in for the collaboration I really liked the idea and challenge to have the music video filmed from both parts of the world and to make it look as it was shot at the same place in the same night, having Jade singing through the woods of Melbourne and us dancing in Vienna. Miriam Lechlech the amazing dancer from the video is a local friend of mine who I always wanted to collaborate with. Except of a few short sequences together all our parts were improvised. My main vision was to visually express the fairly melancholic fairy tale vibe the song has and to include that feeling of reminiscing about memories and the “push and pull“ issue which unfortunately can occur when two people want but can’t be together and also vise versa. Dance has always been my main thing and background way before I started to produce music and I always tried to kind of grow and keep both things separately, so they would not depend on each other while building. But nowadays I feel more that it would be a pity and a waste to not use those bridges and connections and to include it even more for future music videos and projects.“ - Good Lee
