Adrian Cronauer, who wrote the story that led to the movie "Good Morning Vietnam" tells the real story of what's behind the greeting. Adrian was a host of the morning show, "The Dawnbuster" on American Forces Vietnam Network in Saigon.
My father, CPO Bryant "Buck" Arbuckle, started AFRS Saigon and created the Dawnbuster show in 1962. I was fourteen when I moved to Saigon with my family. I wrote about all this stuff in my new memoir, "Saigon Kids, A Military Brat Comes of Age in 1960's Vietnam." You can find out more at my website lesarbuckle.com
