I got my parents a previous generation 2017 Stepway with the 900cc TCE engine just after Xmas to replace a Renault Clio and to all intents it's just as good and equally as well equipped (it's a Laureate model). They've just come back from 1,000 miles upto and around the Lake District at 49mpg so they're happy. Always liked the whole range for what they provide, keep thinking about getting a Duster as a runabout for my wife , really love the new Jogger and the Bigster concept looks fantastic.
I have always said that cheap cars tend to be the best for running around town. They are cheap to buy, usually have small engines which makes them easy to work on and maintain, and because it was cheap in the first place, if you damage a rim, get a scratch on a door or bumper, well, it cheap to begin with, so no worries. Dual fuel?! That's awesome! As far as I'm aware the only car from the factory that had that in Australia was the Ford Falcon which was very popular. The engine was way better than the petrol one too. I think this would be quite a hit in Australia if they ever bothered to bring it here.
Looking to get one in Barcelona. There's a comfort model for €18, 500 or the basic essential model for €15, 100. The prices continue to rise and I think I'm tempted by the essential model. Why don't you exploit the roof bars and get a roofbox to expand the capacity?
Yeah, prices and availability are a bit crazy at the moment. Everything is going up! We haven't used the roof bars yet....I keep forgetting about those 😊
