It's strange. Often, Aspies are very empathetic and very emotional and caring. It's just that they don't communicate it in the normally expected way in society so sometimes get accused of being cold, blunt, unfriendly or harsh when, in fact, they, from thier perspective are showing great empathy.
We're the opposite of sociopaths, people who have no empathy for other. By the way, most politicians are sociopaths, because they're good manipulators and liars who don't care about the people they kill or impoverish.
There’s a theory that Neanderthals had Asperger’s because of the traits they showed in the archaeological record, they liked to live in smaller groups, and they likely figured out many things and taught them to Homo sapiens In fact evidence has been shown that they had sophisticated burial rituals to honor the dead, they developed forms of glue from plant resin, and even would have cleared forests which many suspected were for developing Pasteur for raising livestock. I also think they would have developed a form of permaculture as opposed to crop agriculture, which is much smarter to do in pretty much all regards Asperger’s may actually just be an expression of Neanderthal genes. Neanderthals were only originally assumed to be less intelligent because of the shapes of their skulls, and many researchers had eugenics/racist biases and associated them as being closer to apes, when nothing could be further from the truth
as a person with Aspergers myself, I would love to say, no it is not a gift, true we have a high intellectual rate which allows as to excel at what we like, but that is not a good trade-off, we can't read social cues and have to learn them threw routine, our brains don't process information that well and we require proper instructions and to be shown the task multiple times to get it which makes us look stupid, our mind is one-sided which means it is hard to change our train of thought, and so on, I could list more but I have my point across, side note; Aspergers is not an excuse to act like an ass, there are coping measurements to deal with the disability, will also want to say fuck you to the girl saying Aspergers is a gift and fuck you to the people using her to your agender by treating her special. nothing wrong with pushing your political opinion but for fuck sake, don't identify her by her disability or use it as an excuse while ignoring how it can be harmful to one's life and grow up
I really can't stand society but i'm not depressed or frustrated. I don't care about it. And i can't stand why you want to be normal. I hate normal people more than they hate me.
@@a.od-reszki4674 to fit in and to be normal are two different things my friend, and what you want and what i want are also two different things, i stand by my opinion, and yes, not having to live with things that limit my everyday ability to fit in is hell, fuck hell and fuck aspergers,
What if u have occasional problems with spoken language? Ex. I speak fluently, fine, then i trip up and my brain short curcuits and i stumble over, stutter, pause or give up when i realize my mind and the words, sounds coming out aren't matching
I don't have Asperger's but my boyfriend does and I really love him and want to understand what it is and educate myself on it so I can understand him better. He's really amazing and wonderful :) Nvm lol we broke up

I was diagnosed with Aspergers back in the summer of 2003 before smart phones & knowledge of the condition , all I received was a book by some Australian guy . My mum was told when I was young that it was shyness but she knew it was more than just been shy
Well if you're a girl you are very lucky you aren't a guy with Asperger's, as a dude youre expected to be loud confident and charismatic, it's normal for a girl to be more shy and reserved, but AS A DUDE hell no, no girl finds that attractive. But tbh I still see how even being a girl with Asperger's could be hell as well, just not as much as a guy
Hey this is the story of an aspergers from India.. Today after watching this video I am 101 percent sure that I have aspergers. I have some self realisation 1. 90 percent of time my brain becomes stuck/overwhelmed due to n number of thought processing at one point of time.. So that I forgot who I am? I fee lost.. Struggle to keep track of my thinking/feelings 2. I can remember a lot of situation specially in the office where I feel so overwhelmed that I go to washroom to catch some breath/hold my head in a situation I know I can't handle myself. 3.I believe I am not able to understand the feeling of people if they are joking around/serious/ .. I always go very deep into the meaning of conversation with someone so I fail to crack the essence of the topic. 4. I feel most of the time I am very egoistic and can't take jokes etc.. Because I feel nobody is understanding me and my feelings. 5. I don't understand that nobody has the power to hurt me and most of the time they don't want to because they also have feelings. 6. I discovered that it is the fluctuations of emotions which are controling me like sudden joy/anger/jealousy/insecurity etc. 7. If someone's praise can't make me happy why should I worry if they scold me?? 8. I believe mixing with kindhearted non aspie people making me understand jokes/more emotions/helping me to take quick decision etc. 9. Most vital thing in this condition is self hurting feelings which overflows all the time and being unnecessary critical of yourself thinking about how others will dislike me 10. I again believe that I have realized these things very late on my thirties which I should have realised probably in my teen age. I blame my condition/bad upbringing /lacknofself awareness for this late realisation.. 11. MY GOAL IS TO UNDERSTAND THE WORLD BETTER AND BE MORE EMPHATIC TOWARDS OTHERS... Love ❤❤❤ to all
I'm 15 and I had asperger's syndrome and over time all the symptoms dissaperared now i can see how neurotypical ppl viewed me and now my ways of thinking i had when i had asd don't make sense to me lmao like I'm a different person man I was diagnosed at 8 I am attending to a therapist recently but not because of that i had asd, and the therapist didn't say a word about autism , i told her i used to have an illness and she didn't guess what it was
@@elroy-kq7we i'm not trying to fit in or putting any efforts, it just slowly disappeared and guess what? I easily make friends, I have no problems and I'm not "masking" or anything and honestly I don't understand people with autism although I understand their different perspective but I try to avoid them on the Internet since one guy banned me cause he didn't get the joke lol.
@@riolureviews5204 I’ve already answered your question in my comment that you responded to... “Autistic” is the correct term. Aspergers is not an accepted diagnosis, refer to the DSM-5. Also, the name Aspergers comes from the man who first identified the condition, who was a nazi, so not someone I want to be associated with anyways.
The problem is “give us the resources”. Sadly, resources cost money, and money is a finite source. Society, sadly, does NOT have any mandate to support someone who is a little more challenged than others, rather people only help out when they can, and that is a decision of when someone “can” help out is very dynamic. This leads to society sometimes deciding that it is too difficult to support someone who may need support.
Just searching on Aspergers which I think I have. Nobody administered test but was told I have symptoms. All I know is it was only classified in 1994 but the doctor it was named after diagnosed it in the 60s. But it was unclassified around the time I began to suspect it in 2014. I am on the Autism spectrum. It's all I know. I didn't know Greta Thunberg has it. Just know I have it.
From my experience with an aspie, it seems that they are rather unstable in reaction. Emotion and thought seems to be the key here. But so are most people. So I don’t see any difference there really. I see that an aspie needs a routine, but why exactly I don’t understand yet. What is really the difference?
I'll answer as an autistic adult. We technically aren't unstable. We do, however, react to an unstable environments by reenacting how toxic it is. If I start pacing, rocking, and tapping my head at Walmart, its a good indicator that Walmart is bad for everyone. Think of us as the true lab rats of humanity. We cannot be desensitized like neurotypicals can be, even after ABA conversions, we eventually have mental breakdown after mental breakdown because we are not encouraged to thrive. Also we need routine to get things done. it doesn't have to make sense to anyone but the NueroDivergent person. Our brains perceive everything at once, and all on the loudest brightest setting. We cannot filter and separate sounds, lights, smells, ect. We need routine to survive. Nuero typicals tend to force us into toxic environments and then get pissed and angry at us. I hope this helps, even if a year later. Also, All Autistics use different terms, but some folks are more bossy and controlling of others, that's a very autistic trait actually. I own it. But it has to do with feeling safe and understood which is rare for us. Still, we all have different about terms.
@@octoberdawn1087 "need a routine to survive" exactly. I wake up 6:59 am every day 30 seconds before my alarm, shower, get dressed, watch a new video and eat (watching and eating) then leave for studies. If one thing is broken, it all is. If I don't shower immediately after waking up I don't feel hungry and won't eat.
Asperger’s is the middle of the spectrum high functioning very important than just saying autism autism is a broad spectrum Asperger’s is a certain area of it very important to know and easier to explain to someone else.
I have heard that Fox News was insensitive and hurtful and thoughtless. Maybe the presenters and producers and investors are misunderstood, they too are on the spectrum?
Nope. She's clueless and even now years later she's too lazy to learn the truth ! She's doing a " good ' job for her handlers ! In the meantime destroying most of the people around the earth !
It can and often does affect cognitive abilities negatively because autism causes uneven cognitive development. But intelligence and functional language use are unaffected.
What I’ve noticed about many with autism is that *they expect people to be very familiar with their “quirks*and get ANNOYED that neurotypicals don’t AUTOMATICALLY understand autism you need to explain to us who you are and not expect us to just know what you need
Even when it's not the case the social majority are going to say the minority tried to force something on them, so they can justify getting the social minority fired or excluded. People(and not just Americans) are extremely hostile to difference, and most of the time it doesn't even help preserve any qualities of the host culture.. I've seen it happen in Scandinavia and the US; hate illiterate trash culture but do very little to prevent it becoming the norm etc....
Well, I don’t know where you get this information from but most of have to be prepared for the outside world such as ear plugs etc. We always tell employers. I take it your not autistic, you don’t know how difficult it can be.
Correct you don’t need to understand their quirks but you should do some basic research if there are people on the spectrum you interact with so you have a better understanding of it. You just sound ignorant.
I try to explain to people in my area my condition but they usually think I'm I'm because apparently people with mental issues are supposed to not look normal
What makes Greta's speech more powerful is that they have selective mutism, which makes it so that they only speak when they feel strongly about something.
On the neurological 'mixing desk', the mutism is of lesser concern with Level One - or Asperger's Syndrome. There is a problem moreover with social anxiety, especially with public speaking, this from personal experience having Asperger's Syndrome myself.
So do most of the other tech billionaires. And most scientists. And artists. Basically, if someone's really good at something, there's a good chance they have Asperger's. Not bad for a disability.
personally i think i'm just fucking stupid in some ways, but not in others. that's about all i've noticed. i've always said i have an easy time with the stuff other people find hard, and a hard time with the stuff other people find easy, and i feel that about sums it up.
The thing about Greta that nobody is aware of, is that her entire family tree consists of actors or/and singers. Her mother is a singer. Her father is a manus/script writer. Both of her parents are however not successful at the same degree as her ancestors. Thunberg is distantly associated with Nobel prize-winner Svante Arrhenius. Her grandfather, Olof was a famous actor and director. So, her parents, full with ego issues, complexes and especially full with greed for money and power made an instrument out of their daughter. Her father writes Gretas speeches and instructs her as how to she should behave. Funny enough, the families stocks have increased as hell since she became famous. But yeah... you can still believe in fairy tales and her wanna be devotion to climate change bla bla bla
And Greta has absolutely no self-determination whatsoever! Precisely what my own mother thought about me. Isn't it great - I think. Having Asperger's Syndrome basically means that we are regarded as being the ultimate puppet! Try telling that to Temple Grandin and become a cattle sandwich!
Greta Thunberg has a quite privileged economic and social background for a Swede, with resourceful, successful and supportive parents, that's true. But I don't see how that makes it impossible for her to take actions, like refusing to go to school because Governments are far from delivering on their already too weak promises of reducing green house gas emissions, which she has learnt about the consequences of in school, independently as a teenager... Was she in a more privileged position than most people is? Absolutely. But far from everyone in her position has chosen to show their engagement in such a brave, clear and effective way, especially while still being that young. That deserves respect, regardless of your political positions.
She is smart and did a good job for herself. Just like the rest of the " climate change " activists, she is a millionaire too. Of course she's using everything she is " against " in her speeches. Wondering, if she really knows, every gadgets ingredients coming from the ground ? 🤔
i advise you actually meet those environmental activists, and count the millionaires. I know for a fact you have never met any. Thousands of amazonian natives, poor folk from africa, regular working and middle class europeans, go out and meet people. Touch grass

@@riah8600 How about YOU inform yourself a little bit about man-made climate change? THEN you are welcome to discuss constructive, scientific-based and holistic solutions, instead of hating on people you don't know and have never met. Everybody knows that electricity is related to fossil fuels, duh. It's a reason oil, gas and coal still dominates the energy market. What's enraging is that even with the clear knowledge of the severe consequences continuing on the same path as we do today has, and will have, (aka., a global warming of more than 1,5 or even 2 degrees Celcius by this century compared to pre-industrial times), governments all around the world are doing as little as possible, bending to fossil lobbies, and continues to encourage overconsumption, when we need a collective reeducation in frugality. But a capitalistic global economy doesn't work like that I suppose... Hence the slogan "Change the system, not the climate". education.nationalgeographic.org/resource/climate-change/
