i feel like "Good Seasons: Aric Almirola" should be in the mix. one year at SHR and he already surpassed everything he ever did at RPM and then some. except for wins, laps completed and poles, he improved on every season-best for relevant stats it's interesting how putting a good driver in good equipment produces good results. i can see Almirola as a Playoff regular in the years to come

TheGreatMasyn it wasn't good, but it wasn't that much of a dumpster fire...... His average finish was the same as his average in 2010 (minus the whole 8 wins part lol). Yeah he didn't win but 10 top 5's and around 18 top 10's isn't enough for a "bad seasons" vid

Chase has been as advertised ever since stepping up from the Xfinity series. Think about this fact that Chase been in the Playoffs every year so far, he has 59 top tens in 113 races which equals to about 52% of his races he has finished in the top ten, and honestly he has improved every single season so far. Its insane to think just how good he can be IMHO. Elloitt with Gustafson I doubted in winning races, but if they continue to improve like they have. His potential is scary and remember this was a DOWN year for Chevrolet as a whole, just think with a good car from Atlanta going forward in hoe good he could be. If Chevy comes with a good car the sky is the limit.

When you said “..., and Chase Elliott would never break through” about winning, that’s virtually impossible to say because of the amount of success he’s had in previous racing divisions in NASCAR and other sanctions as well.

I think this year the torch was sort of passed to Chase this year as Jimmie Johnson had a bad year(but he is far from done). It was good year for Chase but a bad one for the Camaro in general, they didn't really spend a whole lot of time testing it and working on in the off-season and it didn't take until the second half of the year to really get anything going.

2018 was a really bad year for Chevrolet in general, as they only won 4 races that year. Ford had won 19 races, and Toyota had won 13 races.

I was yelling Chase!!! when he won his first race at Watkins Glen this August. Then he won at Dover and Kansas. He'll probably win the Daytona 500 next year and be a Top 4 driver next year.
