It's 2023 and I still get tears listening to this. I don't know how Elton John kept it together to sing this song.

I am 71 yr old man and to this day when I watch this video it still brings tears to my eyes. We in Canada miss the Princess still so much .

I was 22 when she died, 25yrs on I still feel the pain. Elton John nailed it with a perfect tribute.

You know how truly beloved Diana was when you see grown men in the streets crying their eyes out. Rest in Peace in Heaven, dear Princess. You shall never be forgotten.

50 years from now this beautiful princess will still bring tears to many eyes.

97, I was in my first year of university. Got shocked that evening hearing the news. I still remember, didn’t move a second until midnight from tv. Still this song brings tears. She was princess of the world. Today’s generation may have no idea how she motivated every corner of the world with her personality.

Every time I see William and Harry standing there, heads bowed, it makes my heart ache. People forget that children need both their parents in their life, regardless if they are still together or not.

Its now 2021 and I still have tears with this beautiful Elton tribute to the sweetest Princess that ever lived.

She died 2 years before I was even born. I'm not even English, I'm American, but every once in a while I listen to this song and sob my eyes out. It's so spectacular how one woman could capture the heart of not just a nation, but the entire world. She used her title and her spotlight for good, and the lives of so many people were made better because of her. Even 24 years after her death, she is still mourned.

It's 2022 and I cried listening to this. I'm a Canadian who has no use for the Monarchy in this day and age, but Diana was something special. She had compassion and empathy and she walked in Grace. She was beloved by many and deserved so much better than she was treated. This was a perfect tribute to her.

This is my absolute favourite Elton John song. I like Goodbye England's Rose better than the original Candle in the Wind. I will always remember watching the funeral with my parents here in Canada and seeing Elton perform this song live stuck with me forever. Absolutely masterful. Even at the age of 9 I knew that Diana had a huge positive effect on this world. She was someone that truly tried to make this world a better place to live in. RIP Diana. You are still missed by so many.

The day Diana died, my son asked "what's wrong mummy?", I replied "our princess fell asleep yesterday and we are going to miss her", he walked up to the tele, kissed it and said "goodnight princess, we love you", it broke my heart in so many ways.

I was 15 when Princess Diana died. I'm Italian but for me, as for many other people in the world, Diana was like someone I knew. I remember my mother, shocked by news we never imagined hearing. I was shocked and, for about a week, I couldn't believe it had actually happened. Today I am 40 years old and I am a grown man. I'm only 2 months younger than William and when I think she was only 36, I realize how unfair it is to die so young. Many kids today, who have only heard of her will never really understand how shocked the whole world was by that news, what impact her death had on everyone.

How did Elton last ... emotionally ... anyone else would have burst into tears and then THIS song to go with it ... Diana ... a TRUE Queen ... and HUMAN
