hey uncle, what's the rod (weight and length) you usin with the penn slammer? looking for a nice rod

Really depends for shore fishing v boat v kayak. On a kayak I don’t like them too long. My poles with the conventional reels are 6’ or shorter. That particular pole with the slammer is a shimano tabalera boat rod 6’6” 30-50lb medium heavy fast action. It’s medium price range, pretty good bang for the buck.

Haha. Yeah, my wife from there so we back there probably 3-5 times a year. I usually get out on the water 1 day every time we visit.
