It was an emotional morning for me today 16th August 2019 saying farewell to "Oriana" now known with her new name as "Piano Land", she left berth 104 at 08:43am for the last time to sail out of Southampton with a farewell salute coming from the P&O Cruises "Aurora" which was berthed in the Mayflower Cruise Terminal behind the "Oriana".
As the "Oriana" came towards Town Quay where I was filming from the Red Funnel Cargo Ferry also gave her a salute as she sailed by and as she sailed further past Town Quay then another P&O Cruises the "Ventura" which was berthed in the Ocean Cruise Terminal also joined in to give a last goodbye salute to her ex-fleet mate as well.
Southampton is now without the ever popular "Oriana" which was a regular sight here, I even had a few tears in my eyes as she went.
The now said "Piano Land" is headed to Piraeus in Greece where I presume she will then be refueled in preparation for her continuing journey to China.
Bon Voyage "Oriana" & good luck in your new venture, God Speed and keep going.
