Fun Fact: I flew on this exact plane on New Year's Eve 2017 from Delhi to Heathrow. Oh, I didn't mind the old screens, the engine sound was just magical. Plus, I actually got to see inside the cockpit, looking at how it works. I can't ever forget that experience. (my first and last time flying a 747)

I ironically flew to Miami on G-CIVD in September 2015 fantastic journey. Sadly this plane caught fire recently whilst be stripped. I was also glad I flew back from Miami on G-CIVE in September as I kinda knew it was going to be the last time as they were up against time. I'll miss 747s the best aircraft in aviation history

Was this your last-ever flight on the -400? Surprised at the seat layout--normally FC would be about where you sat,guessing its upstairs. Really odd to see what LHR was like pre-covid,almost like an alternate universe!

And,....finally into that space above the reality of earth, at least for a time. There is really no time, just that magic engine sound. I've flown countless miles but the thrill will never leave me. I'm too old now but have those memories.

Around 20 or 30 years ago an American passenger sat next to me in Goat class on an LHR-JFK trip told me that he always tries to fly BA (this was an AA flight) as so many of their pilots trained in the RAF and were therefore much safer, gentler and smoother. I have to say that at that time it certainly did seem to be true, as I flew with several different American airlines and found them less comfortable. As for American stewardesses, they had all the class and dignity of Air India stewardesses, ie unfathomably rude, condescending, irritable and abrasive. I have rarely travelled in any American Goat class without the stewardesses seeming to deliberately make me feel unwelcome, and their motto should be 'We always forget you have a choice'. It surprises me especially as we foreigners look to America as the standard bearer on customer service (eg "Have a nice day!"), but that should be reversed when it comes to flying. I should add that I generally find the American people to invariably be very kind, polite, welcoming and generous. I have a lot of family in America and without exception they are an absolute delight. The nearest I've felt to being welcome on an American flight was on Jet Blue internal flights, where the poor, hopelessly overweight stewardesses, who could hardly fit in the aisle without knocking every elbow, seemed much kinder. At least they weren't shouting at passengers for minor infractions against a very strict, unpublished code of conduct. One of the worst offenders was the late Pan-Am airline, now, quite appropriately yet sadly demised. Oh, and RIP lovely British Caledonian girls.

As you have quite a few videos on British Airways 747s and a lot of them are taking off from London Heathrow I think you could have about 5 of them and it can be like a late tribute since BA has retired their 747 fleet sadly. I absolutely love this point: 3:10 and I was wondering, when was this video filmed? You should add the dates that you flew on these flights

Another awesome tripreport. Beautiful wing and engine view...and the sound on takeoff...loved it. Miss the B747. Am no expert but I wonder why the engine seems to slow down a bit after takeoff...scary sometimes.

How did you fly with covid restrictions?

A nice way to remember our Queens thank you - what was the date and I will check my log book. Our Miami flights were normally quite heavy loads hence the long rotation
