Reality, something more scarier than any slasher or ghost story. This is an Edward nightmare for sure. Not so much as getting scrapped but being the grim reaper to all his friends before they do him last. Like Beeching wanted to punish him the most.
If you want unsettling horror, this is far and away the best take on it I’ve seen with Thomas. This was genuinely depressing to watch, bravo Mr lampiron. You’ve made a true Halloween classic with this. I genuinely dreaded every minute of this video, watching the characters we know in the middle of the beeching act. The only thing I don’t understand is why would they scrap Stephen. He’s way too historically significant to be scrapped. But apart from that this was truly amazing.
It was all a nightmare on Edwards part IMO. I mean him to be basically the grim reaper for all his friends watching how Beeching finally won over sodor, the fear that all steam engines face. Sounds more like a nightmare to me. But yeah, it was a good video for Halloween, reality can be scarier than any slasher killer.
I only have one complaint and it's The scene when splatter and dodge have Stephen. It doesn't make since for Stephen to be scrapped since he's privately owned. The same will go with Conner and Catlin if their in the au.
This is honestly, one of the best ideas for a Thomas Halloween story I've ever seen. Real events, every second you know what'll happen to those you pass by, and it hurts 10x more. And the ending where Edward left James behind caught me off guard. I thought they were sending them both to knock out 2 birds with 1 stone, but to be told Edward was effectively made to be Sodors "Grim Reaper" so to speak (carting engines off to their death) is all the more saddening. Well done, very well done. The final part of the ending, where Edward says "Its Time" while remembering Boco, that is a very good way to leave the audience suspenseful without giving too much away, can't wait to see what's cooking up next.

That universe is definitely something I hate to be part of. That is the most cruelest fate despite how much they want preserved. I wish it ended with James waking up from a nightmare.

He was later rescued. Percy was sent to a prison by beeching for starting a rebellion against the man in 1960, and for his crimes, he got the death sentence, which was carried out in 1970. Toby was burned alive for joining Percy's rebellion in 1969. Duck would suicide bomb knapford station with Beeching inside in 1973.
Uh,Beaching does knows he is kinda screwed right,i mean,The visitors come to Sodor to see the Engines,thanks to the Railway Series,but sence the majority of them are all but gone,less and less visitors will come and the Railway will shut down.
Its a line from either Bill or Ben, Edward was remembering all the things theyve done over the years, and now its time for him to take them to the scrapyard
When Edward said "its time" that was him excepting being scrapped and having to take bill and Ben next, that's why I put in the stop your making me giddy because Edward was thinking of the twins and the funny things they've done over the years
nice video... but to be honest, it's not just the Skarloey Railway that would be safe from scrapping. All of Sodor would be safe, because the island's economy thrives on Tourism. seriously, look it up. Many island nations still use steam power for a sense of nostalgia, and they thrive on tourism.
I like how the engines are at least put in steam for one last time as shown when james has steam coming out of his funnel and we hear his whistle same with percy and toby having steam though sheffield wasnt and james pulls into the scrapyard
I'd like to think that some of the engines that will be preserved are Duck, Donald, Douglas, Emily, and Arthur (yes I know he was last seen at the scrap yard but he could still be saved)
I think Trevor had the best outcome, because it implied in his goodbye and thank you that he went peacefully, and his eyes closing I think only adds to my theory he went peacefully.

@@deadaccountpleasedonttagme to be fair i did say pretty much all of them, meaning there are a few still around like the original rocket in the science museum in london, or the skr and talyllyn railways etc.

1:17 Of course Thomas is still working. He's either gonna be repainted and loose the number one, put on display, or sent to a heritage railway. I don't see him getting scraped in this scenario.
Thank you for your theory, and as the writer I can confirm that sadly the No. 1 was also scrapped later on after his last train. He was scrapped, but reunited with his best friends in the afterlife. Thank you for watching!
@@InvertonRailway Before I hack into your house and cause your toilet to flood destroying everything inside, can you give me a list of all the standard gauge engines who were preserved? Also, there is a replica of Thomas eventually made after the original was scrapped, right?

Secondly, the only standard gauge steam engines preserved are Mallard, Flying Scotsman and the actual Rocket in the National Science Museum in London. The rest are diesel locomotives. Also, this doesn’t apply to narrow gauge stock and this is just for BR. There are still many steam engines out there in other railways. Finally, there wasn’t a replica made ofThomas - deemed unnecessary. There was just a statue of Thomas at Farquhar to commemorate where the late engine worked. Hope this answers your theories.

@@deadaccountpleasedonttagme No NWR Steam Engines were preserved. As Sir Topham Hatt was put in a mental hospital for life, no one could save those engines. The diesels who worked on Sodor were later scrapped when their service ended. However, a few; and very few were saved to heritage railways.
If you listened in the 60s British rail went under dieselisation, they mentioned topham had passed and was replaced by beeching, who infamously cut a lot of rail services and steam engines to save on costs.
For those who don't understand, this is what James imagines happening when Dieselization takes over Sodor. This is obviously not reality. The NWR still depends on engines 1-11 as of 2023.
Also please turn this into a series please I want to see what Edward meant by it’s time I wanna see how Furgus Spencer Murdoch Percy and Oliver turn out
It’s a cliffhanger which lets you theorise what will happen next… as the writer of the script, I can confirm that ‘It’s time’ is talking about Edward bringing Bill and Ben away.
because they are iron work horses they work until they die that’s what locomotives are face or not, its like they are a imitation of human life though as locos
For a jinty youd get about 15000-17000 dollars for scrap as from what i searched 313 dollars per ton of steel and just look at a jintys weight light compared to other locos
