Dave Loss from Aqueous and Ryan Nogle (Funktional Flow, and former Aqueous drummer) cover Supertramp's "Goodbye Stranger". All music performed by Dave and Ryan. Filmed in Ryan's basement. Video edited by Nick Sonricker.
Speaking as a 68 year old Supertramp fan from the UK who was lucky enough to see them back in 1976, this is superb, well done guys you absolutely nailed it.

@@daveloss9867. I could listen to this on loop NON STOP! You are so talented on everything you play! Just 2 guys playing all those instruments and it sounds BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL!
Stunning! I think Supertramp would be jealous & very proud at the same time. 0:18 that's passion for this song, and a wonderful voice. Thank you, man! 👍from 🇩🇪
Wait, these two guys are multi tracking the entire instruments and vocals? Damn they're good!! I'm impressed at how superb they cover this British rock classic!!! Well done, men!!
The right musical instruments, the right chords, the right sounds, the right voices in the right tones, the right feeling, the right rhythm, a very good well-balanced mix, even the same Hammond B3 drawbars are there, everything is there for one of the best Supertramp's "Goodbye Stranger" cover I've ever heard so far. This video should have millions of views, really, I don't understand. Maybe more views if you have worn high heels ! 😂Dave and Ryan, very great job, 😁 👍
@@daveloss9867 Hey Dave! I agree with TheHolan, this is certainly the best cover of Supertramp on here. Great job and nice D’Angelico ( I have the same one) lol btw, where r u guys from? I noticed the neon Genesee beer light in the background. Where I’m from we grew up on that swill. ✌🏻
@@777sicilia thank you! We’re both from the suburbs of Buffalo. Nice eye on that Genesee sign lol. Gotta love that stuff. Cool to hear you have the same D’Angelico too! I love that guitar. Sounds and looks amazing 🤘
Love the original BUT Dave Loss and his 2 man band are on par with Supertramp’s version! I could listen to this on loop while driving and never get tired of hearing it.
Wow, what a great job. I was a stagehand during their European tour with the Paris album and this was my favourite Supertramp song. Perfect perfomance.

That’s so freaking cool. I was never lucky enough to see Supertramp back in the day. They just didn’t tour close enough to my hometown. They’re still in my top five favorite bands of all time.
Ya Good Buddy! Not a day goes by that I don’t think about that. It’s all in the back of my mind meeting Roger in a parking lot in Santa Ana. Completely blew us away and it was funny because I did scare the heck out of him, but he came over and he was so nice to us. That was great, I still listen to him as much as possible. Thanks for the comment good buddy.
Great job guys , it`s nice to see the younger genration appreciating Supertramp , i`ve been a fan since the 70`s and that was the best cover i`ve heared so far .
Thank you! Supertramp has always been one of our favorites. Now we certainly weren't around in the 70's haha, but sure would have loved to see them in their prime. One of the all time greats!
Absolutely fantabulous. You guys Rock. Also its nice to see the young generation making an effort to preserve the music of our era which is sadly fading away. I'm a great fan of Supertramp and I remember each and every note of this song. You nailed it boys. Keep up the good work👍
@@daveloss9867 please make more of these cover videos!! I’ve been sharing the hell out of them. I’m a vocalist and songwriter - you guys are amazing!!!
Oh, my God. I was nineteen-years old, I had a gold Mercedes 500 SEL, I was working in the tallest skyscraper in Houston and I loved to drive down to Galveston island for lunch and blast this song on the radio. Good times (1995.)
So Im sitting here in Sydney Australia .... its 1:30am .. Im finishing off some work for a software release tomorrow .... and Im listening to one of the best covers of one my favourite songs of all time. Well done boys.
We can’t thank YOU enough! One of my all time favs too. This song never gets old. We tried our best to get it as close to the original as possible! Thank you again!!
Seriously! Great cover, beautiful audio mix too. Barry Robbins is correct, it's great to hear an actual ending to this song! I'm glad I'm not the only one that has been disappointed for nearly forty years every time I heard Supertramp's engineer pull a fade to black during the best jam that ST had in their repertoire.
Ngl at first I was hesitant about how good this cover would be but then when you started singing the chorus I was amazed at how close that sounded to the real singer of supertramp!
Oh my god. So young and so talent this kids. Playing a classic from Supertrump. Congratulations from Peru. Hey boys you are so good and you are a real artist. Go on.
check out Aqueous! The "Live in the Studio" videos on their page from a few years back were a great introduction to the band for myself. The "Origami" and "Strange Times" are personal favorites
This freaking rocked!!! Thanks for sharing man! Been playing and listening to music for a long time. This is one of the best covers I've heard of a song PERIOD
If y’all enjoyed this make sure you check out his band Aqueous. Never thought I would say this but can’t wait to see you at the charcoal corral twin drive in!
Los que crecimos con Supertramp y sus canciones agradecemos inmensamente estas fantásticas interpretaciones. Muchas gracias, chicos. Vuestos pares os agradecemos estos recuerdos ... Gracias.
