After all the years....the plane crash, the motorcycle accident, falling off a cliff, and almost dying from the fever he got in Mongolia from the tick bite, it is too bad they couldn't have figured out some way to keep him on the show. His character went through so much over the years. But, I guess he wanted to pursue other things and there really wasn't another way to write him off the show. It won't be the same without him but it is still a really great show.
