I got to see Elton @ Flushing Meadows in Queens in 1981 with 400,000 other fans, including two of my friends, one of whom sadly is deceased, but it was a great free concert and we stood the whole two hours so that we could see him with his costume changes, including the "duck' outfit. It was the greatest rock concert that I ever attended, and regardless of his political views, he was and still is a great performer.
@@Lyricoland The video of the concert has been shown several times on PBS and it is somewhere on the Internet, so if you look for it, you'll find it. You may even see me and my two friends as part of the crowd. I'm assuming that you're probably much younger than me, so when you see three crazy guys in the crowd shots yelling at the top of their lungs for Elton, you'll see the younger me from 4 decades ago. By the way, he performed all of his hits, including Funeral for a Friend/Love lies Bleeding and Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. Rock on, Complicated.
