Kristin Alfonso great acting. When are lost Mt son or daughter devastating. I never got over it you learn to move on and I now have a daughter. Great acting.
Bo should have gotten an Emmy for this as the Best Supporting Actor. ! The way Bo held onto Hope was phenomenal ! As it sunk in Bo wasn't letting her go.
Maybe there's some policy against awarding stories about a child's death? Brad Maule didn't receive an Emmy for B.J.'s death. Something's wrong with these actors not being rewarded.
I never saw Zach's death but watching this video was more then enough for me. I couldn't handle watching his death and funeral. That being said, this video is an excellent explaination. GREAT JOB!! 5 stars
She ran over him in pitch black darkness and thought it was a pot hole until she found him and it truly crushed her she had told Bo Brady she was the one that done it and he was stuck with his son dying and her being responsible for it until hope lost it and Bo told Hope that she had done it and it was really Devastating to watch how that had played out
Yes, like evenstar01 says, i live in Norway. Zack has now recently been hit by the car. I saw it yesterday. Poor Hope!! I will starty crying when they'll show his death, probably after 10 more episodes. I used to NEVER watch soaps, but i started to follow this last year, and i couldn't stop! It's so entertaining, and i love the characters. There must be many many years since our TV bought this TV-soap. And i know, we're 4 years behind actually, so i go here and find out more, lol.
Transplant stories have been been done so many times in soap operas but this one is one of the ones that stands out and seems to have some real thought and heart put into it. The actors all pour their hearts and souls into this and the story is more realistic, so it strikes a chord.
wow...i can't believe i missed this episode...i don't have kids yet but i could feel the heartbreak along with her..and she's an amazing actress and always has been!
Of all the scenes I ever watched on my favorite soap, this scenes is burned in memory. I feel like it was just yesterday that I was crying right along with Hope and almost as hard! Why she never receive a daytime Emmy for that scene is beyond comprehension. Days at its finest! Can’t believe it was 17 years ago.

I Love This Video!!! It is so devastating! I remember watching the episode where Zach died and Hope was there. When everyone found out he'd passed I balled my eyes out! At 1:51, I cried forever! "I can't say goodbye" Just imagine yourself in that position. that's what hurts the most! And the end, oh God!...
I totally agree with you! What an amazing job she did! Anybody else need a tissue???? Gawd, I need a whole box right about now :( As sad as this was, it was an excellent storyline especially how they incorporated Chelsea into it. The writers need to get back to this kinda writing or else DOOL is gonna go down the tubes :S
Phenomonal job on this video-- Bo and Hope are so wonderful-- they're my favorite Days Characters (along w/ Maggie Horton), but these episodes really showed their amazing talent-- it all seemed so real. *tears* :S
Oh my god :( I cried when these episodes aired because the acting was so dramatic (Bo & Hope), that you thought they really lost their child. It hits me more so now that I have a son (he's almost 2) and I couldn't imagine my life without him. BEAUTIFUL montage, I swear I just cried through it all :(

Kristian Alfonso is the best actress on DOOL. she's gorgeous, talented and so convincing at pulling at your heart strings when she loses her child zack, i mean she really did a great job, she should have won an award, big time
Zack is gone for good. Btw. I loathed Chelsea at first too. But after this storyline, she became one of my favorite characters on the show. Weird huh?!
this is one of the few Days storylines that just ripped out my heart & made me cry for months, and yet i still had to tune in every single day; Kristian & Peter did an amazing job with this incredibly tough material.
I remember this scene. That scream she made..... just made it so heart wrenching. I remember reading that he was going to die and it was going to be a huge storyline. I felt so bad for Hope
It was so sad that it had to happen like that I cried over that all that time I still watch it in the cloud but it's so sad I think both of them still in one award for that they are the number one story I will always Bo and hope😢😢😢😢😢
When will they show when Hope is getting prenant again, which year? We can watch the show every day on TV, twice,, except in the weekends. I started to follow when Marlena was the salem stalker.Since then, and after Tony Dimera's evil deeds, i just have to watch it everyday. Am addicted :-)
I don’t know why I clicked on this as it was sad enough the first time I watched it all those years ago. Everyone did such an amazing job, but man Kristian Alfonso could deliver. I also remember the scene where she had to give that other baby back to his birth mother. Was his name JT? I think Stefano had switched Zack and this baby so that Lexie could have Zack and Hope thought JT was her baby only to discover he wasn’t. The whole Horton clan gathered at her house to say goodbye when she had to give the baby back, and they played the song “Say goodnight not goodbye.” It was heart wrenching too. Would love to see it again.
this montage is from a story line 3 years ago. when they brought everyone back it had to do with a screw up by the head writer at the time. everything i read had to do with the fans not liking the turn the show was taken at the time. they then brought in a new head writer and had to find a way to bring them all back.
