There are only three things that matter, how much you have loved, how gently you have lived and how gracefully you let go of the things that really were not meant for you...Nicely summed up
This HIT ME 💔 My father was never there. He was a workaholic that only cared about making money. Fast forward to when im 26. He had my sister with another woman. He became a dad...he said i love you to her, he said im proud of you. He let her ask all the curious questions at 5 years old he never let me ask....i RESENTED him for it. It broke me.
Big hugs - that is so hard… there are some really good therapists on youtube to help with inner child reparenting like Patrick Teehan and Nicole perra i believe
Your dad didn't raise your sister, and that's the hardest part to understand as a child of someone that couldn't be a parent with us. 20 years later your dad changed grew evolved and he was able to give parts of himself that didn't exist previously. It's really a hard journey to navigate
Wow! This really touched me. I went through a similar situation a few years ago while struggling with addiction, which no one knew about. Watching my dad finally be a father was painful because he wasn’t there for me while I was growing up. But now, after four years of sobriety and therapy, it makes me so happy to see him being a dad to my siblings, who are 21 years younger than me. And to top it off, this movie is coming out on his birthday-what a coincidence!
Keaton being an academy award nominee and not an academy award winner is proof the academy awards are useless and irrelevant. Significantly unrated actor.
Michael was one of the best feel good, humorous characters of the 80's! It's good to see him revisit his roots, so to speak. Mad drama chops! But good to smile and laugh along with him.
Michael Keaton, Denzel Washington, George Clooney - arguably 3 of the most talented contemporary actors/entertainers of the late 20th century, early 21st century. Andie McDowell with that curly grey hair looks fantastic.
@@mickb44 Clooney is in the same ballpark as them overall Clooney is extremely talented and not just for acting, but for behind-the-scenes writing, producing, directing award-winning movies, he is also a very astute and successful businessman, he personally made over $500 Million just off of selling CasaAmigos Tequila to Diageo Liquor Company, as well as his other entrepreneurial ventures.
@@andrew4029 Wasn't Andie McDowell also in that movie with Michael Keaton? Another oldie comedy with Michael Keaton was "Gung Ho". The old scary drama with Michael Keaton "Pacific Heights".
Somebody wrote about Mila Kunis❤: "Her beauty....and those eyes....mystical, dark, endless like a black Hole in space, with no chance of escape from that gravity.....madness for heart and mind..." Cannot be described more accurate....
A flick like “Parenthood” isn’t really much of thing but it is the things for everyone tbh. Since that masterpiece embraced us there hasn’t been anything like that flick since then I hope this works like its predecessor.
Keyton did get some good roles over the years but IMO was underrated for most of his career. But now it seems in the last 5 years he's getting more recognised. Better late than never, I guess.
I feel this. Me and my siblings have a significant age gap too. It was like pulling teeth to get my dad to pick me up from school as a kid. He literally brought our house because t was a walkable distance to the elementary/middle and high schnol. With my lil sister her glady picks her up and drops her to school and attends all her sports events where as I had to beg him
Looks like my life as an adult. My dad had my 3 siblings with our mom than had 5 half sibs with another woman. I was pregnant with my now 28 year old when his wife? Was also pregnant. Life is crazy. We all have stories.
My mom was a widow and my siblings were 23 and 15 when I was born when she remarried. My niece is older than me and my nephew was the same age! We were all very close.
Michael Keaton is proof that someone is pulling the strings in Hollywood. The Man has everything it takes to be a megastar but disappeared from the spotlight for so long.
Michael Keaton had me at "night shifts". I laughed so hard at the time and the jokes have held up. He and Henry Winkler should have done more together but alas.....
I get this. There's 18 years between me and my half brother (and we don't live in LA, so pretty uncommon where we're from). I was off to college when he was just a baby. This movie is the opposite though, he got the short end of the stick when it came to a relationship with our father, he was mostly absent with him after moving onto family number 3.
@uwcb1: Just out of curiosity, did you see or hear any of the evidence that was presented in the trial in which Masterson was convicted? Did any of the accusers provide any concrete evidence (police reports, DNA samples, etc. etc.)?
The graphic says Michael Keaton is an Academy Award "Nominee". He WON the Best Actor Academy Award for Birdman. What a lazy marketing team. He's an Academy Award WINNING actor. Give him his flowers and fix your damn graphic
You can pretty much guess the ending of 90% of movies and they're still worth watching, perhaps with the exemption of Avengers Infinity war, I heard a lot of children were crying by the end 😂
This looks so predictable. Redemption and feel goods and emotions and happiness at the end. Goodrich looks like the exact opposite of the real life. Yay.😊
Looks great. Unfortunately many first families reality…very sad. Love the 3 things he said were important…and someone has to support the generations of kids who hate me…te he
