Ah, no HOA have no soul nor they care about publicly or anything like that. They have the power to foreclose for $50 so, be careful with that type of fight. Best thing to do is vote them out!
They’ll CERTAINLY get it when karma gets them AND IT WILL if not already-EVERYTHING YOU PUT FORWARD COMES BACK TO YOU!!! Anyone in an hoa now knows what a grave mistake it is to buy in one! 🤡🤡🤡🤨🤦♀️
There was a lady just today in my neighborhood driving slowly by each house taking pictures of everyone's front yards, they just forced people to repaint their houses recently - we paid almost $5,000 to have the house repainted. I like the idea of an HOA but jesus christ the people who run them are Karen-level insane.
This is the perfect HOA stereotype -- throwing a fit over an act of kindness and generosity. HOA's are a platform for small-minded people who have a royalty complex to flex on their neighbors.
@@tanyaerskine7657 just glad it's not police messing with him. I do remember Arnold Abbott getting arrested for feeding homeless people. Though yeah, people abuse authority for sure.
@tanyaerskine7657 you seem to misunderstand lol, I'm all for it. But this is a form of capitalism. If you want to see this country become China just follow your own advice and join the green hair group 😂 you'd be right at home.
I used to live in that neighborhood with that HOA. Why did this become an issue recently? Because the HOA wants money and these fines are a great way to get an extra $100 every once in awhile to help the HOA pay their expenses. Advice: Get all the neighbors to go to the next few HOA meetings and the HOA will back off.
On the other hand, the home owners can just vote to change the HOA rules to make this not a violation. But on the other, other hand, it is illegal in the state of Arizona to deny someone water. HOA’s can do whatever they want within the limits of the actual law. This may be a violation of Arizona law. It would be worthwhile to find out, and if so, then let the HOA know that you could do to the HOA as the HOA has done to you.
@@blakejdke5141 I like how you’re accusing other people of being “stupid” while repeatedly making the same comment about capitalism as if anyone doesn’t already know that this is related to capitalism 😂 get off the computer little kid.
Indeed. And you'll also notice the hoa has not come up with a reason why or tried to find a solution that fits their concerns. It's all just control at whatever means necessary.
@@josephshields2922 I'd rather have that than some overzealous control freak karen who's got nothing better to do than snoop around looking for anything and everything they can write fines for
nah you still own your house and there is really not a damn thing they can do. Just dont open the letters and refuse to pay the fines. And then slam the door in their faces when they come and bother you. It has been working fine for me the last 10 years.
This made my blood boil. Power and control where power and control isn’t warranted or beneficial. Get a life, folks. This HOA is blind and should be very, very ashamed. I grew up in an OPTIONAL HOA that cost practically nothing - maybe $20/year max. They had no control over anything anyone did with their homes and acted as a vehicle to bring the community to together and represent our community to larger government organizations. The cost barely covered the printing of a campy newsletter informing residents of everything going on in the area like events, crime, and promoting local businesses. Those HOA volunteers would go to bat for our community against any big government program that affected the integrity of the community in a second. That’s what an HOA should be. All the volunteers had full time jobs and had no interest in policing their neighbors over petty BS. If I was caught passing out water, the HOA president would go to Costco and bring me more and say “keep up the good work”. LIKE ANY DECENT HUMAN BEING.
I've never been to Arizona but I do know it gets really frickin hot and this guy is helping out keeping people hydrated and putting smiles on people's faces
It seems that most hoas are run by a large company. I feel safe in assuming that most hoas not run by a big company but rather a close community would be much more effective and just compared to the alternative. In either case, hoa? Stay away.
I’m in Ottawa, Ontario, and a friend, a woman of 80+, recently got a letter from the city saying ‘someone’ (either a mistake, or a Karen) complained that her backyard was full of garbage, and the grass was uncut. This friend, who is meticulous about her property, was stressed out and couldn’t believe anyone would do such a thing. Even though her place is nicer than 95% of the homes around here, the city gave her a hard time, and I am unsure if they actually sent out a bylaw officer to check it out first. Guessing not. It’s not just HOA’s, it’s everywhere where there are people who believe they have the god-given right to interfere in other peoples lives, causing stress and misery wherever they are. They aren’t happy until everyone around them is unhappy. What’s become of this world we live in? So sad.
Its amazing that a man like this, gives whatever he can to the community he is amazing and most likely if an emergency happened he would help out in anyway he can. I would love for that man to be part of my neighborhood here in the philippines.
I see nothing wrong with what you are doing. Your friends in the neighborhood should come together at those HOA meetings and tell the President of the HOA to leave you alone and stop fining you! it's just water.
HOA boards are full of miserable people . Misery loves company. God has a special place for them. Keep doing good! Don't let this miserable bunch take away your joy !
I agree, definitely show up with a bunch of people, get a bunch of signatures, and then move to fire whatever management company condones this kind of behavior.
Can you even imagine the apoplexy this HOA would with milk delivery. Ya, I am old. I remember when folks would have metal boxes or coolers for daily milk delivery or for a cloth diaper cleaning service.
You can't give people something you don't have yourself. What power does anyone have to force another adult to do anything? Outside of criminal activity, nobody has authority over other adults or their property. I have no authority or ownership of your car, I can't tell someone else they can borrow it.
*Larry Burkett's book on "Giving and Tithing" drew me closer to God and helped my spirituality. 2020 was a year I literally lived it. I cashed in my life savings and gave it all away. It is the digital market. That's been the secret to this wealth transfer. A lot of folks in the US and abroad are getting so much from it, God has been good to my household Thank you Jesus
F*** HOA! I got out because someone complained I was a mechanic when I was just rebuilding my truck… when I kept my front cleaned they started knit picking my backyard and said I was running a business without a license because I hard my truck parts in the backyard. That’s when I knew all you’re doing is renting a house and those were the words of a city official. Now I’m just happy living in a Non-HOA home… feels free!
After reading numerous stories about stupid things HOAs have done, this one may be the most ridiculous. I would love to hear them explain their position.
The only person to blame is the entitled moron who thinks he can break the rules that he agreed to when he moved into that house. If you want to hand out water in your driveway, do it somewhere that is not against the rules.

Whoa, hold on with the ban HOAs talk. HOAs are an option which many prefer, and for me a very worthwhile option. You don't want an HOA property, fine, then don't buy one, and exercise your freedom to have it your way, but maybe without trying to prevent others from having it their way as well.
This is so uncalled for, they need to drop the fine, this homeowner is a very good person, God give the homeowner victory in this situation in Jesus mighty name amen.
He’s handing out bottles of water worth less than $.25 in a neighborhood with $500,000+ homes he isn’t doing anything that actually helps anyone other than getting his business in the local news. He is a selfish man who doesn’t think the rules he agreed to before moving in to the neighborhood should apply to him.
because cities and towns are lazy. They don't want to maintain public roads so they mandate new developments to come with HOA. Therefore, punting the maintenance to developers who in turn create HOA and pass the maintenance cost to homeowners.
@@Baebon6259 you trade your freedom for Some non life threatening services that are nice to have but are they worth giving up your freedom to do as you like and own your home on your terms.
In a lot of places you dont have any real choice. All the non HOA homes and owned by billion dollar corporations and are rentals. All the new homes are HOAs. So its very hard to just move to an area that has a lot of jobs in some areas.

HOAs were formed by snooty people who want to live in neighborhoods where activities and actions of residents are controlled so nobody has 8 junker cars parked on their lawn or lets their grass grow tall and yellow over the summer and other similar eyesores and nuisances can be minimized. I would not buy an HOA house because I don't care to be overly controlled nor to overly control others. Have all the junk cars you want as long as they are not on my property and the only reason I care about the tall dry grass is fire danger so I might have to call the fire department to come talk with you if you don't do something about it after my polite request but I will not form a residents gang to push you around.

They are a way for the STATE and the CITY to push maintenance costa to the housing development. BUT when they step outside that role and start telling people what color to paint their house, it's out of their lane.
Don't buy something and regret it later because you chose not to read the governing documents. Also if the board changes then they may not relax the cc&rs like the previous board. Finally he must have ignored the previous notices and hearing. You can't fine without going through the process. If he refused to discuss this with the board then don't be surprised when those late fees hit then attorney fees and possible foreclosure. Its all in writing and he signed up for it.
The owners are the HOA. The BoD are elected volunteers for the community. The Community Manager is tasked with CCR enforcement. The owner was cited in 2022. At that time he could appeal to the BoD. The BoD could choose not to enforce. Why he’s been dragging this out for over two years is beyond comprehension.
The alternative is to have the guy next door fixing racing cars in his driveway and the guy across the street raising chickens, as you gaze out the window at the derelict house down the block.

My brother and him got into a debate about HOAs, the friend defending them saying that after reading the rules and regulation handbook, he said it was pretty good deal. The neighborhood even had a community pool. About a year later he moved to a neighborhood without an HOA lol.
