Goofing Off & Getting Work Done

Just a Few Acres Farm

Sometimes we all need to do some goofing off! I do a fair amount of that today, messing with the pigs and paying proper respects to my old shop apron. But I also get some work done too, including cleaning up some more of the Farmall MD parts and soldering the radiator.

Love the channel, so hang in there! Yes, it is not a great feeling when someone has a discouraging comment about your passion. But I hope you let it go and remember that most of us are behind you! And I can tell from this episode that you know that; pig soccer & soldier’s funeral for the apron were hilarious!

I am not going to quit restoring my 1963, International Farmall Tractor. I am finishing the teardown and starting the cleanup. up of all the parts. I am a little bit older than you are and my hands do not like to work the way they are supposed to. I am inspired by the way tell a story as you are working. you do a great job of cleaning. I take it one day at a time.

Hi Pete. I really really enjoy your videos. I too am a small scale farmer in Sweden and RU-vidr so watching your videos and following your life on your farm is very inspiring and rewarding for me. On the subject of ‘doing things wrong’ I can really relate. With no farming background myself I have to learn everything from scratch. I used to be worried about what others though and their opinions on my mistakes. Now I’ve learned to see my mistakes as a strength and sort of a gift that I’m giving to others. What inspires me more that doing something ‘right’ is the thought that by just showing myself doing something I might help someone else believe that they too can try for themselves. I know it’s happened to me watching your and others videos. It’s an empowering thing to show others that making mistakes is part of it, because often it’s just that which keeps us from believing we can and start doing what we love. Keep em videos coming! Loving every minute! 👍❤️

When I restored the MF35 I got overwhelmed, not by that as much as I was still busy farming...there was almost two years I didn't work on it after I started building the engine. Hey Pete - love your content! So informative from taxes - schedule F - to breed history = tractor restoration, etc!! You had a great video pontificating on the value of a farmers market to NOT undervalue the product, I have been researching a lot about this online and found a couple of options that may supersede the Farmer's market; Barn2Door and MeatSuite. You probably already know of these sites and have done a video that I missed due to timing but if you have not maybe that is an option to market the animals and get advanced funding on the final product. Good luck and thank you for the content. Kelly

Hi Pete this morning I did something a little different. I added the theme from little house on the prairie at the start of your show. Just something to amuse my self. I must say your episodes though, are better because there real honest good work, nothing made up just doing it. The pigs there fun allways curious as well are cattle fun to raise chickens as well.
