You have to keep opening the the "Recently Closed" tabs that are available and eventually the window you lost will(or might) pop up. I just discovered it now by myself and thought to come back and help you out.
Why does Chorme insist on erasing past "Recently Closed" tabs data? It's incredibly frustrating when users can't go back and find at least 1 "recently closed" group of tabs. Does anyone know why Google insists on errasing/not saving users recently closed tab data from the Chrome internet history page(?) No matter what I try, I lost over 30 open tabs a/k/a multiple days worth of internet research work, with absolutely no way of getting the tabs back through Chrome's internet history page :' (
sciencelover3339 Bro, There are a few reasons why your tabs might have disappeared from your Chrome history. Here are some steps to troubleshoot: Check for Accidental Deletion: Verify History Settings: Go to Chrome settings (three dots in the top right corner) > Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data. Ensure that "History" is not selected under "Basic data." Check Recent Activity: You might have accidentally deleted the history recently. Try searching for specific keywords or websites in the search bar at the top of the history page. Check for Sync Issues: Ensure Sync is Enabled: If you're using Chrome on multiple devices, ensure that sync is enabled in the settings. This will synchronize your browsing history across all devices. Try Disabling and Re-enabling Sync: Temporarily disable sync, restart Chrome, and then re-enable it. This might resolve any sync-related issues. Check for Browser Extensions: Some extensions can interfere with Chrome's history. Try disabling all extensions and see if the issue persists. If it does, re-enable them one by one to identify the culprit. Restore Previous Session: Try Ctrl+Shift+T, This keyboard shortcut will attempt to restore your last closed session, which might include the missing tabs. Check for Corrupted Data: If none of the above solutions work, try clearing your cache and cookies. This might resolve any corrupted data that could be causing the issue.😊
Ugh... why does Chorme insist on erasing all past "Recently Closed" tabs data? It's incredibly frustrating when users can't go back and find at least 1 "recently closed" group of tabs. similar issue. my employer runs a lot of crap on our systems and both chrome and outlooks crash at least once a month. today chrome shut down while I was browsing. i know how to open the closed tabs. however, in this instance there were no recently closed tabs to reopen. I must wade through several weeks of history to find what I had researched! why would google not save open tabs to a history type site nightly if it is this easy to lose the tab info?
Awesome! I've been bad... I had a whole bunch of tabs open when I finished working yesterday. This morning they were ALL gone! Thanks to you they are all back. I would have never remembered them all. In addition to solving my problem, I want to compliment you on the very high quality of your video. Maybe you can tell me how to do something else. I'm so impressed with this video that the next time that I have a problem my first choice on finding out how to solve it will be to look and see if you have a video about that. I tried a couple of ways that I thought would do this, but they didn't. Can you tell me how to do this? I'd be very grateful if you can. Thanks.
i restored recently closed sessions now but old not is not more possible to restore they are gone after reinstalling, i tried to do it more days, but no more possible, and history is not possible even scroll down it jump up
great video, i wish i had come across this sooner, i cant find my lost tabs in history, the reason is because prior to seeing your video i was searching for solutions and opened/closed many windows. so as a results i ca no longer see the specific tabs im looking for in history. my question is, how do i go back further in history to find what i'm looking for? is there a way to recover history for the past 30 days?
Hi - thanks for the video... I know how to re-open my closed pages and tabs but today ALL of my History and TABS are gone! I don't even have an option to restore them. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
I think we're screwed :( once they leave the "recently closed" location under history, there is no way to recover them after that. I've looked everywhere online but this looks to be the only way to restore tabs. Beyond that point they may no longer be recoverable as you would have to dive into your history and manually open each webpage/group of webpages yourself under "By group". 😥 hopefully google will implement a new feature that serves as a "History" for the tabs themselves instead of just websites.
@@Fix.369 then your video is pointless. my macbook restarted , then chrome opened with 0 tabls and "restore tabs" button. I clicked it and nothing happened, 100 tabs are lost. they are not visible in history as well since it was open for a 4 months at least
I did, that's a nightmare of thousands of sites over years, and not everything is there because when you re-open a multi tab window it doesn't load them all into history again so you're going back month looking for a needle in a haystack it's extremely frustrating and almost imposible, all they need is to make the recent history list longer@@Fix.369
hey, i have a dumb issue, the Recently Closed is no longer appearing to me when i close the tabs by mistake, do you know any way to fix the stupid issue? i also have another issue, i think is cuz the stupid google chrome not automatically updating is giving me that problem. any way to fix the issue without the force to update? thanks
1337score Bro, Check in the history, you might be able to get the webpage from there. Also try to manually update Google Chrome, it can fix the issue.😊
Dude! Thank you so much, this was extremely useful. I had just found a bunch of new pxrn that I wanted to save, but had accidentally closed chrome before I was able to do. I thought I had lost it all, so this video really saved me.
